Our operating room in Burundi - which will be the country's 1st EVER dedicated paediatric theatre - is now en route to the Kamenge Military Hospital. 🙌
🙏 It will be installed later this year - and will give children here access to world-class surgical care.

Lacking resources, they were not able to treat him. He was transferred to CHU de Treichville with a KidsOR theatre.

2-day-old Bebe was born fighting for her life...
She desperately needed surgery to survive. But in Ivory Coast, where Bebe lives, capacity for paediatric surgery is dangerously low. 🇨🇮
Thankfully, Bebe lived close to CHU de Treichville, a hospital with one of the country's only state-of-the-art paediatric operating rooms - installed by KidsOR. 💙
Bebe underwent surgery immediately. Her mother, who never left Bebe's side, told us that she would rully recover after her operation.

🏥 Had it not been for a nearby KidsOR Operating Room, the birth defect Sharif was born with may well have killed him...
Newborn Sharif's abdominal wall had failed to close. He was left vulnerable to a range of nasty, potentially fatal complications.
🇲🇼 He and his mother were rushed to Kamuzu Hospital, in Malawi. She did not think he would survive.
In a theatre installed by KidsOR, Sharif's life was saved. The next day he began feeding. 5 days later he was home. 💙
🗣️ His mother told us, "I'm so thankful. I did not know what our outcome would be. I hope the other patients who visit the hospital have the same results."
