Find the Lord on the Frontier: With the dedication of the Cody Wyoming Temple, I think of the early families who helped establish The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in the Big Horn Basin.
This was not an easy place to settle. The geographic isolation, arid climate with cold winters, and water scarcity all added to the challenges of building life. In many ways, the Big Horn Basin was the last Western frontier.
Elder Kim B. Clark used to say that if you want to know the Savior, go to the frontier because that is where He does His work. It is where the greatest growth and development happens, and where He is most needed.
Each of us has our own spiritual frontiers—uncharted territories—where we have never been and will need the Lord’s help to settle.
The Lord will show us our own spiritual frontiers if we ask Him. He will take us to places that He wants us to go, and He will not leave us alone at the frontier.
