In 1983, Johnson Muthama divorced Agnes Kavindu over Kavindu’s refusal to accept Muthama’s desire to marry many wives.
After the divorce, Muthama went to court seeking to remove Agnes Kavindu from their matrimonial residence in Mua, Machakos County.
Muthama reclaimed the property in 2019 after the Court of Appeal upheld the High Court ruling to evict Kavindu.
When Kavindu became Machakos Senator in 2022, she acquired land and developed a mansion next to Johnson Muthama’s residence.
Today, she invited Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, among other leaders, to a housewarming ceremony at her new residence.
