Matt Amendola came out to our TLK NFL Free Agent Combine and had an impressive day! With NFL experience with the Jets, Cardinals, Chiefs, and Texans, Matt knows what it takes to compete at the highest level. He’s a journeyman who continues to fight for his career, put in the work, and stay ready for his next opportunity. I also want to recognize the sacrifice Matt made just to be here. After multiple flight cancellations, he ended up driving from Charlotte and arrived at 6 AM the morning of the event. He didn’t complain. He showed up like a true professional, stepped on the field, and went about his business. That says a lot about who he is and how much this means to him. Matt is extremely talented and has one of the most impressive field goal legs I’ve ever been around. He has all the ability in the world, and I’m excited to see him get another opportunity to show it. Appreciate you coming out and trusting us, Matt. Our first TLK Pro Event is in the books! A few weeks ago, we had 18 guys from all over the country come together with one goal: to keep chasing their dream. I’m proud of how the event came together, and hearing the athletes’ feedback afterward meant a lot to me. Big thank you to @4thdownu @simonkmathiesen @trackmanfb for helping make it happen. With two TrackMans, we had a dedicated punting field and kicking field, giving every athlete more reps and more opportunities to showcase their ability. We kept the entire event under 3½ hours while making sure everyone got the work they came for. To the 18 guys who showed up, thank you for trusting me. I know the commitment and sacrifice it takes to travel, prepare, and put yourself out there for another opportunity. To all my free agents, I’ve been in your shoes. I know what it’s like to keep working while waiting for that next call. That’s why creating opportunities like this means so much to me. Huge win last night against Spain park! We only had to punt once because our offense did a great job all night last night, but the punt that I had was a plus side punt that landed on the 2 yard line that was punted from the 50 that was a 4.65 hang plus side ball that was close to being downed but rolled in the end zone for a touchback.
