Rts don’t 🟰 endorsement. Views are my own. I speak truthfully about liars, “fun AF”, Sowing discourse

I remember when a youth pastor was fired for “inappropriate texting” w/ a teen. Of course, they never gave details. 6 yrs later i heard what the text said. I felt physically ill and furious. I learned that day when a church says “inappropriate” it is almost never the right word

Josh Howerton's house is worth two million dollars. But you need to sell your house so he can podcast more.
I hope the folks at Lakepointe know they shouldn’t feel guilty for not wanting to sell their home or liquidate their savings, investments, or other valuable assets to fund Josh Howerton’s Into the Breach campaign. You shouldn’t have to justify keeping your home by turning it into a ministry opportunity. Making people feel guilty for not surrendering their personal assets is manipulation, not discipleship.

As someone who has only ever been part of small to medium-sized churches, the actual budget reports have always been very transparent! I can see this issue generally stemming from large nondenom mega/para churches.
Church people will be like “my church is different. They tell us exactly where the money goes!” And it’s just a pie chart for 22.7 million dollars. lol

Worse than that- Calvary Chapel sends them to other countries where there is even less supervision.
Some Christian’s be like: That’s Bob. He’s an ex pedophile but god saved him. He leads our children’s ministry 🤍

In short? Yes. If I’m giving 10% of my income to an institution that has already proven to be dishonest, I’m gonna need a little bit more than a flimsy pie chart with almost 10% of *their* income going to “everything else we do” 😆😆😆

What would you rather see? A line by line of expenses?

They genuinely don’t think child rape is a big deal.
EXPOSED: Texas Democrat James Talarico, who constantly preaches about his Christian faith, was just caught following porn stars and escorts on Instagram. You truly cannot make this up. The sheer hypocrisy from the Left never ends. Accountability is coming.

And @KenPaxtonTX gave a child rapist a pass to avoid prison. Which is worse?

He said he'd end the Russia Ukraine war in one day in 2024, once he was elected. He also said the Iran war would last 4-6 weeks

Pie Charts mean worse than nothing. It means they think you are ignorant or indoctrinated enough to accept it as meaningful
Replying to @LABC222
These pie charts crack me up. Ppl have no idea what expenses the church can classify as ‘ministry’. Staff retreats, fancy lunches/dinners, gift cards, staff expense accts, The church is not required to account for ANY of those expenses to ANYONE. PIE CHARTS MEAN NOTHING

Abortion rates in the United States have gone up 21%. Everything the pro-life movement has promised the Catholic voter, has been proven false. (link with the receipts below)

Yeah. Once you see the empty, albeit passionate, formulaic emotional manipulation, you can't unsee it. piped.video/watch?v=giM04ESU…

You see it’s not just the predator pastors that are dangerous, it’s the people in the pews who think murdering is just another sin.

Uh, because they are sinful human beings.

Why does this remind me of my old church?
Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry. He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say. Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all. His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear. Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content. His entire formula fits on a napkin. Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant. That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped. "If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius." That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying. Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority. The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years. Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since. The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.
