Focus: Watching the ball all the way in, letting it travel, and hitting with my hips.

Drills:
Upper-body barrel work, step-throughs, leg behind, bat-on-shoulder swings, over-exaggerating the finish up the middle, tunnel vision goggles +normal swings.
Different pace. Same arm action.
Watch how the speed of the feet and body changes depending on the play, but the throwing action stays short, efficient and repeatable. That’s what we’re looking for with the “V Slot.”
Whether you have time to set your feet or have to get the baseball out quickly, a short arm stroke allows you to create hand speed and use your arm strength without adding unnecessary movement. The goal isn’t just to throw hard. It’s being able to access that arm strength while staying consistent with your accuracy.
The pace of the play will constantly change, but your throwing action doesn’t have to. Short. Quick. Repeatable.
