Read more about the tokenomics (Will be added to site soon for full 24/7 transparency):
Larpcheck's tokenomics (written by hand 😳)
I really want to do this properly, nothing gimmicky, and without hurting UX and growth.
What brings most real value to a product token (besides attention)? I believe it's the revenue stream. Money flowing into the system. I want the token to benefit from a huge percentage of the residual revenue.
Residual revenue = real money after operating costs (infra, marketing, etc).
60% of that residual revenue will flow back into the token in the form of buybacks (just like real software companies do). These buybacks will be burnt.
The rest will be split 15% treasury and 25% profit for me (I'm not trading, I need liquid profits too!).
Therefore, to achieve maximum value, I'll be experimenting on products to create a solid, consistent money inflow.
- The platform will always have a free, non-tokengated tier. I believe this is amazing for UX and as a marketing tactic, as it brings a LOT of people onboard.
- However, heavy users are also very likely willing to pay for using the system beyond a few checks here and there. I will definitely be bringing in limitations and access passes that captures that potential.
- There's a huge potential in monetizing premium features.
- Advanced, more technical users will likely want deeper analysis into details like wallets and comparison with other tokens, etc.
- Token creators will also possibly want features (but I will never allow features that can manipulate the verdict incorrectly)
- APIs with paid usage has a huge potential
- Token trading fees: This is initially a huge inflow that has given me capital to operate the product safely. This will continue, and also counts as revenue.
Timings for buybacks and burns will obviously not be announced, to prevent frontrunning, etc, but they will be continous and automated. But I hope this post has given some insights and assurance that I'm trying to build a sustainable, profitable product, with value for token holders.
