Over 14 years, the Tories destroyed our armed forces. They left them with 50,000 fewer personnel than they started with. Our army hasn’t been this small since the 1790s. It’s underfunded and those who serve are treated as an afterthought. Wing Commander (Retd) Angus MacIntyre, our new Shadow Armed Forces Minister, spent 40 years keeping the British people safe. I can’t think of anybody better to rebuild our military and end the persecution of our veterans.

Fantastic to have Angus in the team - by serving in the RAF but having attached to both the Royal Marines and the Parachute Regiment during his career, he will bring a truly tri-service focus to the job.

No one has taken responsibility for the horrendous way in which Henry Nowak was treated by Hampshire Police. That’s why, with @colinsutton , a former Detective Chief Inspector and our Police and Crime Spokesman, I’m calling on Hampshire’s Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner to resign. I also have concerns about the government’s own review: it is being led by a former Conservative Minister to look into the actions of a Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner. The perception of bias is just as bad as actual bias. We need impartiality, transparency and accountability.

He was jailed in Italy for seven and a half years as spokesman and strategist of an ISIS-affiliated terror cell that plotted to attack and kidnap a British ambassador. Despite being banned from the UK, he crossed from France to Dover in the back of a lorry this June. He was only caught when police stopped his car over a broken light. But he’s not the only one. Rebwar Hamad broke into Britain for a second time on a small boat last September. He had already been convicted of terrorism offences in Italy and extradited there to serve his sentence. Likewise, Mohammed Yaseen, a former member of both Al Qaeda and ISIS, crossed last December. He was part of the cell that murdered British hostage Ken Bigley, and later joined a unit that carried out mass executions. Not one of them has been deported. Last week Labour let 1,700 illegal migrants break into Britain in just four days. How many terrorists were amongst them? Only Reform will end the invasion for good. We will detain and deport all those in Britain illegally. We will take our country back.

The Chancellor has misled Parliament on borrowing. The Budget shows borrowing is almost £20bn higher than OBR's March forecast, at £133bn, and £65bn higher over next 4 yrs. Labour are bankrupting Britain.
