Chromatin has long been proposed to "store" memory related information; but what kind of information, contents or rules does it hold?

In total, we show how TD learning can be used as a comprehensive explanation of the effects of contingency on associative learning and discuss how this guides our future study of how the brain learns causality.
🎉 Thrilled to unveil our research co-led with Mark Burrell, now live on bioRxiv! 🧠 Dive into our latest discoveries in dopamine, animal contingency learning, and TD learning models: doi.org/10.1101/2024.02.05.5…. Excited to hear your thoughts! 1/n #Neuroscience#Research#bioRxiv
In total, TD errors improve over the ANCCR and Δ𝑃 definitions for measuring contingency. Moreover, contrary to claims from previous studies, dopamine responses can be comprehensively explained by TD learning models and primarily reflected prospective relationships. 10/n
