🇺🇸”There’s millions of us in New Mexico with firearms who are doing nothing wrong.” Source New Mexico quoted me after spending two days in the Courts, Corrections & Justice Committee discussing firearms, gun trafficking, FFLs and proposed gun-control legislation. I will always support going after criminals who illegally traffic firearms. But I will also continue standing up for responsible gun stores, federally licensed firearm dealers, and the millions of law-abiding New Mexicans who exercise their Second Amendment rights every day. Responsible FFLs already have a tremendous incentive to prevent straw purchases and illegal trafficking, violations can bring serious federal penalties and put them out of business. We can address criminals without treating lawful gun owners and responsible businesses like they are the problem. Protect public safety. Prosecute criminals. Defend constitutional rights. 🇺🇸 Rep. 🚨 TWO DAYS OF SECOND AMENDMENT DISCUSSIONS! I just spent two days at the Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee hearing, listening to presentations from Everytown for Gun Safety and Duke University’s Center for Firearms Law. These presentations vilified gun stores, federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs), and law-abiding gun owners. The Dems discussed numerous gun-control proposals as we prepare for the 2027 legislative session. Your Second Amendment rights matter. Know where your candidates stand! 🗳️ GET TO THE POLLS AND VOTE! With @RepBlock at CCJ defending your rights!

🚨Today in Courts, Corrections, & Justice Committee: Dems will preview how they aim to skirt laws + precedent to snatch our gun rights. Featuring a presenter who claims “toxic masculinity” creates “gun violence.” 🙄 Links in comments.

💚🇺🇸 100% PRO-SMALL BUSINESS VOTING RECORD! I’m incredibly proud to have earned a PERFECT 100% pro-small-business voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)! Our small businesses are the backbone of our communities! They’re our local mom-and-pop shops, family-owned restaurants, contractors, and hardworking neighbors who take risks every day to keep their doors open and provide jobs. And they deserve a government that works WITH them, not against them! I’ve spent six years fighting for policies that help our small businesses succeed because when they thrive, our entire community benefits! To every small-business owner in District 22 - thank you for your hard work, your investment in our communities, and everything you do to keep our local economy moving forward! I’ll keep standing up for you in Santa Fe! 🇺🇸 #SmallBusiness #MainStreet #District22 #NewMexico #CommunityFirst

📣FLOODING UPDATE — WORKING TO HELP OUR COMMUNITIES Recent flooding has caused significant damage across parts of Bernalillo, Torrance, and Santa Fe Counties. My immediate concern is making sure the people affected have the information, resources, and assistance they need. Last night, I participated in a Zoom meeting with Representative Harlan Vincent, who shared valuable experience from the devastating fires and flooding in Ruidoso. I’ve asked my legislative assistance to help me reach out to county commissioners, county and municipal managers, the Governor’s Office, NMDOT, and other state and federal agencies to coordinate our response and identify available resources. There are several things I’m working to determine: • What emergency declarations may be needed to access state or federal assistance. • What funding and resources may be available to help affected residents and communities. • What can be done about damaged roads, washed-out dirt roads, culverts, and access to homes. • Whether local governments can coordinate public meetings to provide residents with information and updates. • How agencies such as Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service can assist with recovery. I also want to make sure we’re looking beyond immediate cleanup. Where roads and culverts have been damaged, we need to consider improvements that will better prepare our communities for future flooding. 🚨If your home, business, or property has been damaged, please document the damage and contact your insurance company to begin the claims process. Keep photographs, receipts, and records of any expenses. This is the first wide spread flooding event of this kind that I’ve dealt with as your state representative, and I want to make sure we’re bringing the right people together, asking the right questions, and identifying any gaps where additional assistance may be needed. My goal is to have Bernalillo, Torrance, and Santa Fe Counties working together, alongside state and federal agencies, so that we’re sharing information, coordinating resources, and doing everything possible to help our communities recover. If you’ve been affected by the flooding or need assistance identifying available resources, please contact my district legislative assistant. District Legislative Aide: Charlene Smith District Legislative Aide Email: charlene.smith@nmlegis.gov District Legislative Aide Phone: (505)946-5622 I will continue providing updates as we learn more. — Representative Stefani Lord House District 22

🌅I’m proud to have worked alongside EMPAC, Senator Anthony Thornton, and Bernalillo County Commissioner Eric Olivas in the discussions surrounding a new possibility for the future of Campbell Ranch: exploring a public open space and conservation concept for this beautiful part of the East Mountains. For years, our community has raised serious concerns about the impact of large-scale development on our water, roads, public safety, wildlife, and the rural character of the East Mountains. Instead of simply saying “no,” we’ve been asking a different question: What CAN we do? This preliminary concept explores what Campbell Ranch could look like with public open space, conservation, trails, recreation, and thoughtful stewardship of our limited natural resources. ⚠️ Nothing is set in stone. This is an idea being explored, and there is a great deal of work still ahead. Most importantly, as this process moves forward, our East Mountains community needs to have a voice in what happens here. There will be opportunities for public input and feedback as the concept develops. This is what bipartisan looks like, sitting down together, finding common ground, and looking for solutions. It’s preliminary. It’s ambitious. And I believe it’s a very positive direction for the future of Campbell Ranch and the East Mountains. ❤️🏔️ East Mountains Protection Action Coalition - EMPAC Watch the video here: piped.video/4nNTJyAHuvo?is=0HK0…

🎃🇺🇸 Having a fantastic time at Punkin Chunkin today! 🚨While I’m here visiting with constituents, catching up with neighbors, and supporting a local event, my opponent, Zach Withers, is hosting a NO KINGS event funded by dark Soros money and anti-police donors! ⚠️ Woke Withers is WRONG for District 22! He wants bigger government, and his policies will bring higher taxes and a skyrocketing cost of living. 🗳️ Show up October 17 to vote early and protect our community! This is why I love the East Mountains. ❤️ We finally get some rain and the neighborhood kids turn the retention pond into their own personal swimming hole. 😂💦 No screens. No fancy water park. Just kids being kids and having an absolute BLAST. East Mountain living. Wouldn’t trade it. ❤️🌲⛰️

Yesterday I traded the campaign trail for a cornfield. 🚜🌽 I had the opportunity to see farming up close, and I mean really up close. I rode in one of the semis that gets filled with chopped corn, then climbed into the forage harvester to see how the whole operation works. Watching that machine move through the field while the operator simultaneously keeps the spout aimed into a moving truck is something else. That takes some serious skill. But what struck me most was the race against the weather. A storm was coming. The equipment temporarily got plugged up. And suddenly it was all hands on deck because that crop needed to come out of the field. Time matters in farming, and Mother Nature doesn’t particularly care about your schedule. They got the equipment running again and kept working well into the night. We talk a lot in Santa Fe about agriculture, water, weather, land, and the people who produce our food. Yesterday I got another reminder that behind all of those discussions are real people doing incredibly hard work, often with circumstances completely outside their control. I’m grateful I got to spend some time learning firsthand, and I’m pretty sure I could operate exactly NONE of that equipment without causing an incident. 😂🚜 And since we were already out working across Torrance County, we managed to get some BIG campaign signs up too! 🇺🇸 If you’ve got property on a busy road and would like a LORD sign, let me know. We’ve got signs, and apparently we’ve got people willing to climb things. Putting Our Community First. ❤️🤍💙
