I keep hearing that the Castle Planner is unintuitive (ignoring bugs and WIPs, or that a separate town wall tool is intended for city walls). I made a vote in the past to see if we can remove it and replace it with just "normal" building placement, but let's check: (1/3)
To clarify, if we remove it, you'd place your manor and towers in the same way that you place your logging camps and you'd place walls more or less the same as you place roads now. So the line between the city and the castle would be blurred.
But if we keep the castle planner, we will add more modules specific to the castle (castle stables, castle storage, well, blacksmith) and also a separate town wall tool and ensure normal town buildings can't be placed inside the castle area.
Beta: We investigated the save menu crashes and we have found that manually deleting _descr flies while leaving the main .sav file intact causes it. So if that blocks your playthrough, make sure to delete them both. If that doesn't help, report it please. Thanks!
Beta: After investigating issues with citizens not following up with their tasks, freezing in place and soldiers not attacking, it seems that all of those issues stem from the Wild Animal resource node's hares being startled by nearby buildings and thus clogging the task queue.
Manor Lords players have done some exceedingly cool things in their villages, but this one might be our favorite.

Significant CPU performance boosts are coming to the next updates, throughout the holidays we were working on a 3000 pop + 2000 sheep "nightmare" save one of our players sent, and brought it from 2-5fps to 30-40fps, and there's still room for improvement.
