Lincecum didn’t rely on size. He relied on efficient energy transfer, elite upper body mobility and mechanics, exceptional lower-half mechanics, and momentum to throw upper 90’s. He’s one of the best examples of how a pitcher can generate elite velocity without elite size.

Just because your season is starting, doesn’t mean you should stop training in the weight room. Continuing to train in the weight room to stay strong and explosive over the course of your season can help you maintain off-season gains and mitigate detraining from occurring.

Outcomes matter, they're the point. However, focusing on outcomes doesn’t produce outcomes. Obsessing over the process produces outcomes.

The drift is the initial forward move where the athlete’s center of mass shifts towards the plate. It sets you up to move fast. Studies show that there is a positive correlation between Higher COG velocity before foot plant and throwing velocity. Move fast down the mound!
