Another way people use Portals: Pitch practice. Paste the share link to your pitch deck & start talking. An AI will ask questions & give feedback. Here's our founder pitching Airbnb.

Another interesting use case for Portals: We've had agencies want to build an agent on Portal to run customer conversations for inbound going through their decks.

Anyone visiting SF for tech week and wants startup advice or has a question, DM! Went through @spc founder fellowship, did @joinodf, and worked from @fdotinc. Happy to give advice!

Portal sandboxes now let you send a link to collaborate with teammates on desktop apps in your browser. Here's us editing a project in DaVinci Resolve at the same time, and can open it later to see what's done.

Built a sandbox to let new users try my analytics site in less than 60 seconds in a disposable demo account w/ an AI guide without set up, resets after each visitor. Teams can refine the guide's brain and run simulated users before sending it out.

Great use case for education to drop users into any website, even signed in ones.
Gave an AI a cursor to teach me how to use Photoshop rather than relying on AI to make it for me. Can make your own that teaches you anything, starting on any website. You can try it on our landing page, built it with Portal.

Hugely grateful SPC took a bet on me & @MakePortals
Today we’re announcing SPC Fund IV: $575M to help founders find their life’s work. A decade of guiding founders through -1 to 0 brings @SPC to $2B in AUM and, more importantly, a 1200 member community of the world’s most talented technologists. We strongly believe that: → The person comes before the idea. At -1, generational founders are often busy reading, prototyping, discarding, and earning the right to their own conviction. → Ambition is social. The people you surround yourself with in the early days play a big part in inflecting your ambition. → Patience compounds. It is better to work on something you have deep conviction in rather than simply sprint at the first idea. The quiet months we protect at the beginning have produced three funds in the top 10% of their vintages, and companies like @baseten, @GammaApp, @render, @GoodfireAI, @LumaLabsAI, and @profound. We are proud to have worked with all these founders in their -1 phase and beyond. While we defined -1 to 0, we're no longer bound by it. Fund IV allows us to partner with companies well beyond launch. We're doing this now because we've never seen a wider gap between what's possible and what's being attempted. Intelligence is abundant. The cost of trying ideas keeps falling, and problems that seemed insurmountable a few years ago are quickly becoming solvable. To our members, to the founders who trusted us before anyone else did, and to the LPs who had conviction in our own -1 journey: thank you. This milestone belongs to you as much as to us. To the builders looking to find your life’s work: let’s get started.

New month, new introduction to a member of the @MakePortals team. During our work trial, in under 48 hours he built an entire resettable Windows VM environment to try both Claude Code & Cursor in a shared session without install & then ran a full user research session of someone else using them. Say hi to Adi!

Who knew Sai could be an installation at an art gallery? Last Monday, we tried something different. Simular partnered with @MakePortals and @withpersona   to build an interactive art gallery for AI agents, where every exhibit was a real, preconfigured software environment. Most AI demos are designed to show the perfect run. Ours let visitors take control and run it live. Our exhibit was a lead follow-up workflow: Sai reviewed Slack messages, pulled out relevant details on potential leads, drafted and sent personalized emails, then turned the whole thing into a daily routine. But the best part wasn't the workflow we prepared. It was watching people go off-script. They opened different conversations, changed the context, tested unexpected actions, and pushed Sai through edge cases on their own. That is where a computer-use agent proves itself. Sai isn't built to run one scripted demo. It understands context, adapts when the situation changes, and gets work done across the tools people already use. Try Sai at sai.work.
