ALT Linear Equations Homework. The problem asks students to review Kai's solution to the linear equation x - 1 = 5x + 3x - 8. Kai's solution is written step by step: x - 1 = 5x + 3x - 8 -1 = 5x + 2x - 8 -1 = 7x - 8 -7x - 1 = -8 -7x = -7 x = 1 The solution concludes with 'The solution is x = 1.' Below the solution are two questions: a. 'How many stars would you give Kai’s solution?' followed by an empty 5-star rating scale. b. 'Write a review of Kai’s solution. Why did you give him that many stars?'
