Even hearing their voice is sickening to us. Real survivors understand this revulsion. I can’t stand the sight of my abusers. I won’t look at them. Just the sight of them makes my stomach twist into knots. I feel that way about my abusive parents and also my more recent stalkers/abusers. Out of sight/out of mind.
