GROWTH
This is to become Who You Were Meant to Be
Growth is not always a beautiful experience. Sometimes, it feels like losing yourself before discovering who you truly are. Sometimes, it means outgrowing people, changing your mindset, letting go of familiar habits, and accepting truths you once tried to avoid.
We often imagine growth as a straight path toward success, but the reality is different. There are days when you feel unstoppable and others when you question whether you are making any progress at all. Both experiences can be part of the journey.
The truth is that growth does not always look like progress while it is happening.
A seed grows beneath the soil long before anyone sees a leaf. In the same way, you may be developing patience, wisdom, discipline, and emotional strength long before the results become visible to others.
Do not underestimate the seasons when nothing seems to be happening. You may be learning lessons that will change how you approach life, building habits that will support your future, or discovering the strength you never knew you possessed.
Growth also requires letting go. You cannot become a better version of yourself while holding tightly to every habit, belief, relationship, or fear that keeps you comfortable but prevents you from moving forward.
Sometimes, growing means admitting that you were wrong. Sometimes, it means walking away from what no longer serves you. And sometimes, it means choosing peace over the need to prove yourself to everyone.
Not everyone will understand the changes you make. Some people will remember who you used to be and struggle to accept who you are becoming. That is okay. Your responsibility is not to remain the same person just to make others comfortable.
You are allowed to change. You are allowed to learn. You are allowed to begin again.
Most importantly, do not compare your journey with someone else's. People grow at different speeds, under different circumstances, and through different experiences. Someone else's success does not mean you are falling behind.
Focus on becoming a little wiser, more disciplined, more compassionate, and more intentional than you were yesterday. Small improvements, repeated consistently, can lead to remarkable changes over time.
And when progress feels slow, remember that you do not have to see the entire staircase to take the next step. You only need the courage to keep moving.
If you believe in God, let your faith strengthen you through the uncertain seasons. Do your part, remain patient, learn from your experiences, and trust that not every meaningful change will happen according to your preferred timeline.
One day, you may look back and realize that the difficult seasons you once wanted to escape taught you some of life's most valuable lessons.
So, give yourself room to grow. Celebrate the little victories. Forgive yourself for the mistakes. Learn from the disappointments, and keep becoming.
You do not have to have everything figured out today.
Growth is not about becoming perfect. It is about becoming more aware, more intentional, and more willing to do better than you did before.
Keep growing, even when nobody is watching. The person you are becoming matters more than the image you are trying to maintain.
A thought to remember: You may not be where you want to be yet, but if you are learning, changing, and taking meaningful steps forward, your journey is still moving.
