“There is improvement, definitely, but there is a huge fragility. People are dying just waiting for treatment.” MedGlobal President and CEO @sahloul recently spoke to @NCRonline reporter @camillobarone97 about food insecurity in Gaza, improvements in malnutrition since the October 2025 ceasefire, and how those gains could be lost all too quickly. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, the need for accessible cancer care in Gaza remains. Receiving a cancer diagnosis is only the first step. But what happens when specialized treatment is out of reach? With major hospitals damaged or out of service, patients in Gaza continue to face severe barriers to accessing the care they need. Awareness matters. So does access to treatment.

From November 6–9, MedGlobal will join partners from around the world in Istanbul for the Every Pregnancy 2026 Partner Convening, presented by Humaniti. Together, we'll explore one important question: What can we achieve for mothers and newborns that none of us can achieve alone? We look forward to sharing ideas, strengthening partnerships and turning collective ambition into action. This year, the @EveryPregnancy coalition has grown to more than 80 organizations across 25 countries, collectively mobilizing over $135 million to advance maternal and newborn health. We're proud to be part of this growing movement. Every pregnancy, safe. #EPConvening

“I wish the days were like before.” For children in Gaza, conflict, displacement, and the disruption of everyday life have made even the simplest parts of childhood difficult to hold on to. Yet even in these circumstances, children continue to find ways to play. When our team met a group of children outside their tents, they were busy turning cardboard boxes into makeshift rackets, using what was available to make a game of their own. Their wish is simple: to return to school, see their friends, and enjoy the childhood they once knew. As families across Gaza continue to face limited access to healthcare and essential services, MedGlobal is providing medical care and nutritional support to communities in need.

"It brings such a sense of relief to talk about something you went through, to share it with people who lived through the very same experience." Not every wound is visible. But every wound needs treatment. In Syria, MedGlobal - with the support of Humaniti - is providing mental health support to former detainees. Watch to see how that support is changing their lives.

“The resilience of the people here is incredible.” After a week in Yemen with MedGlobal, Dr. Maliha Sayla, a MedGlobal volunteer and OB-GYN from Chicago, reflects on an experience that left a lasting impression. Working alongside Yemeni doctors, specialists, and residents in maternity wards, operating rooms, and the obstetric ICU, Dr. Sayla witnessed firsthand the extraordinary skill, dedication, and resilience of local healthcare professionals. Despite the immense challenges facing Yemen’s healthcare system, these teams continue to provide lifesaving care to mothers and newborns every day. At MedGlobal, we believe in standing alongside local healthcare workers, sharing knowledge, strengthening capacity, and supporting those who continue to serve their communities. We need your support. A Conference That Led to Action: Introducing the Global Coalition for Sudan One of the most significant outcomes of MedGlobal’s 2026 Conference & Gala was the launch of the Global Coalition for Sudan, bringing together seven humanitarian and faith-based organizations with one shared mission: strengthening the humanitarian response to Sudan’s devastating crisis. Founded by MedGlobal, SAPA, Humaniti, MedSudan, Africa Relief, Multi-Faith Neighbors Network, and GlocalNet, the coalition was officially launched in the presence of H.E. Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Federal Minister of Health of Sudan, and his delegation. Through stronger coordination, information-sharing, joint humanitarian efforts, and advocacy, the coalition aims to bring organizations together to support Sudan’s response and recovery, with a goal of growing to more than 50 participating organizations over the next year. This is what Collaboration for Good looks like in action. Moving beyond conversations, building meaningful partnerships, and working together to make a lasting difference for the people of Sudan. #MedGlobal #GlobalCoalitionForSudan #Sudan #SudanCrisis #HumanitarianAction #CollaborationForGood #MedGlobal2026

A special shoutout to Dr. Riley Jones, MedGlobal Board Member, who was the driving force and visionary behind our Student Track: “Next Generation Humanitarians’ at the MedGlobal 2026 Conference! Riley recognized the importance of creating a dedicated space for students and young professionals to connect with humanitarian leaders, find mentorship, and discover how they can make a meaningful difference. His vision was simple but powerful: Don’t just inspire the next generation—give them a seat at the table and the tools to take action. Thank you, Riley, for championing the next generation of humanitarians and helping ensure that our mission continues to inspire future leaders! #MedGlobal #NextGenerationHumanitarians #StudentLeadership #HumanitarianAction #GlobalHealth
