You watch Manchester United tonight — and let's be honest, they’ve been dreadful, conceding after 53 seconds, passive, zero backbone, floating around the pitch like tourists. But then these match officials step up and decide to take center stage, adding the icing right on top of a rotten cake.
In what universe, on what planet, is that a straight red card for young Leny Yoro? It’s a standard, honest shoulder-to-shoulder tangle as they cross paths! Never a red, never in a million years! The referee looks completely out of his depth, and then VAR invites him to the monitor to watch a freeze-framed, super slow-motion replay that makes basic contact look like assault.
They’ve sanitized the game to the point where defender can't even breathe on a forward without risking a sending-off.
Look at the referee's body language — he couldn't wait to pull that card out! It’s arrogance, pure and simple. They want to be the stars of the show on a big European night. It ruins the contest, it destroys common sense, and it’s killing the game.
But listen — as utterly incompetent as the officiating was, United can’t hide behind the ref either. You show up in Madrid, walk through 70 minutes without a pulse, and then act surprised when the night turns into a circus? Pathetic refereeing, and a spineless performance on top of it!"
