If your feminism excludes men from empathy, it isn’t inclusive. (Follows, likes, and comments by me are not endorsements.)

Men’s rights has spent decades raising awareness. The disparities are documented. What’s missing is serious funding, institutions, legal advocacy, policy work, and political pressure. Awareness alone won’t change systems. It’s time to build something that will.

25 women and girls. That’s how many were killed 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮 in conflict zones in 2025. #Peace must mean safety for women and girls. 🔗 More on the @UN Secretary-General's report on #WomenPeaceSecurity: unwomen.org/en/news-stories/… #ForAllWomenAndGirls
Community note
According to the same UN report, women and girls accounted for one in four of over 37,000 civilian deaths in 2025. Men and boys were the remaining three-quarters. The report notes men are still likelier to be killed. unwomen.org/en/articles/fa…

Stop treating fathers as backup parents. Researchers emailed over 80,000 U.S. school principals with both parents’ phone numbers. Without information about either parent’s availability, mothers were 40% more likely to receive the first callback. Schools should ask whom to contact instead of assuming Mom. Remember the men who never came home from work. Men account for over 90% of U.S. workplace deaths. I share their stories to honor the men doing dangerous jobs that build our infrastructure and keep us safe. Jaime Bell, 54, died at an Oklahoma plant while moving pipe onto a forklift. The truck he stood on pulled forward, causing him to fall and hit his head on the trailer.

Reasons to Stay is an organization that sends REAL anonymous letters from volunteers to people who struggle with suicidality. Sign up to receive one. Or sign up to send one. Or both. #suicideprevention
Can writing letters prevent suicide? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In 1970, a psychiatrist sent letters to 803 discharged from a psych hospital (refused follow-up). In 2001, he reported a HALVING of suicide rates for those that got the letters. What does the modern evidence say? /1

Men’s issues need the kind of organized pressure feminism built for women. I follow and talk with non-feminist women who advocate for men just as much as I do with men involved in these issues. Their participation matters to me. In my own life, I’ve often noticed women putting particular effort into bringing people together and maintaining those relationships. I see that strength in their advocacy, too. @LisaBritton writes about men’s struggles in Evie, a women’s magazine, bringing those concerns to an audience men’s advocacy needs to reach. Other women are doing groundwork for equal parenting laws and building relationships with lawmakers. Feminist women organized to get their concerns recognized and funded. Men’s advocacy needs more sustained organizing to build that kind of support. That doesn’t mean men can’t organize. It means the women working alongside us bring strengths and experience we should value. Their involvement is critical to getting men’s issues the attention and political backing they lack.

Support the men's health bill. Write to the Representatives and Senators in your district asking for their attention to it: congress.gov/members/find-yo…
In America, men have worse health outcomes across every ethnic, racial and socioeconomic group; they are more likely to die at every age; and they lead in 13 of the top 15 causes of death. Meanwhile, the National Institutes of Health spends about 2.5 times more on women’s health research than it does on men’s, and this has been true for nearly forty years. Yet, despite this… there are now eight federal, tax-funded Offices of Women’s Health, and zero for men. And so, statistically speaking, the formation of the first Office of Men’s Health seems like a no-brainer, and an urgently needed step to help stem the deluge of early male deaths. But sadly, many still find it a controversial ask, and remain dedicated to undermining any political move to open such an office. Instead, such people insist the opposite is true: that women’s health is where attention, and all the funding, should go. So let’s look at the stats and ask what is so unpopular about men living long, healthy, happy lives… What do you think? ~ My new Ask Me (Us) Anything with @LisaBritton is out now! piped.video/watch?v=bAYEaT8W… Men lead in 13 of the top 15 causes of death sciencedirect.com/science/ar… NIH Gendered Funding jameslnuzzo.substack.com/p/n… Men and boys have higher mortality at every age washingtonpost.com/wellness/… Men have worse health in every group congress.gov/bill/119th-cong…

Ordered to collect his child, then accused of stalking for trying. A mother obtained a protection order after the father tried to pick up their child under a custody order. Michigan’s appeals court ordered it terminated. The trial judge never reviewed the original order.

Put Mom on child support, too. 2022 percent of parents raising kids without the other parent at home who had a child support agreement: ▪︎ 33.4% of fathers ▪︎ 43.2% of mothers Also.. those fathers were owed $4.8 billion but received $3 billion. Dads raising children deserve equal help getting child support established and paid. Source • U.S. Census Bureau

Being male shouldn’t make identical insurance more expensive. Medigap helps pay costs Medicare doesn’t cover. Maryland’s July 2026 guide lists men paying $504 more a year for Aetna Plan G than women of the same age, 65, in the same preferred rate class. The benefits are identical. His children were adopted at a hearing he asked to attend but was shut out of. A Georgia judge ended the imprisoned father’s parental rights and approved the stepfather’s adoption. The appeals court set aside that order and sent the case back so the father can participate. His imprisonment complicates this. Prison takes away freedoms and some rights. But judges still have to follow the law when deciding whether someone loses their children. The appeals court appears to have made the right call. He gets a chance to contest the adoption before the court decides again.

The @UN claims progress on gender equality without addressing men’s problems. Its main gender goal focuses on women and girls. @UN_Women helps shape policy, while donors fund it to help women. That organization can meet its goals and satisfy its donors without addressing disadvantages men face. This gives it little reason to change. Under those goals, leaving men’s problems unresolved doesn’t count as a failure.

Ohio, stop making fathers fight for an equal start. SB 174 tells courts to maximize time with both parents. But it still lets judges decide the split without starting at equal time. The bill passed the Senate and remains in the House Judiciary Committee. The House should make equal time the starting point unless there is evidence to justify a difference. Find your Ohio lawmakers and write to them: legislature.ohio.gov/ Enter your address under “Who Represents Me”, then open your representative’s or senator’s page for contact info.

What’s stopping Virginia’s boys from reaching college? Boys and girls finish high school in roughly equal numbers. But Virginia expects about 241,000 men and 315,000 women in college this year. Male enrollment is also falling faster. Lawmakers need a plan to help more men enroll and graduate. Article below:
