The Utah Jazz will waive two-way forward Blake Hinson, league sources told @hoopshype. Hinson averaged 11.9 points on 51.3% shooting from the field and 46.8% from 3-point range in 14 games for the Jazz last season.

The New Orleans Pelicans exercised team options on Jeremiah Fears ($8.27M), Derik Queen ($5.67M) and Yves Missi ($5.60M) for the 2027-28 season. New Orleans will decline their team option on AJ Johnson ($5.49M) for the 2027-28 season. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2027

Jaden McDaniels becomes the first player in NBA history to secure an extension with three fully guaranteed seasons remaining on a non-max contract. The deal was negotiated by Nima Namakian of Innovate Sports and Bill Duffy of WME Basketball.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Jaden McDaniels have agreed to a one-year, $40 million extension, sources tell @hoopshype. Under the NBA’s CBA rules, the new deal positions McDaniels to negotiate another lucrative extension as early as 2028. The extension covers the 2029-30 season

The Phoenix Suns have claimed Drew Timme off waivers, league sources told @hoopshype. The former Gonzaga star has averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in two NBA seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers. Timme was in training camp with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sources: The Milwaukee Bucks have waived Kevin Porter Jr. He averaged 17.4 points, 7.4 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game for the Bucks last season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are waiving Dalton Knecht, league sources told @hoopshype. Knecht, the 17th overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, averaged 7.1 points on 46% shooting from the field and 37% shooting from 3-point range in two seasons with the Lakers.

The Phoenix Suns plan to waive two-way guard Koby Brea, league sources told @hoopshype. Brea shot 43.3% from 3-point range in 12 games with the Suns last season. With center Mark Williams injured to start the season, Phoenix will look to add frontcourt depth on the two-way market
