For the past 20 months, as I campaigned across Michigan, people routinely asked me, “aren’t today’s politics so hard and dirty?” I would usually answer, “it was so much harder making payroll on the 15th and 30th of every month”. They would usually smile. And, if there was more time, I would tell them the other side of the story: about all the great people I met, people who lifted my spirits with kind words or encouragement, people who came to events solely because they wanted to do something to make Michigan more prosperous, safer, help our kids to learn, and to lift Michigan out of its doldrums. It was all those people who helped me get out of bed each day to take on the world. I am eternally grateful to all of them. On June 22nd President @realDonaldTrump endorsed @JohnJamesMI and lifted him out of a statistical tie with me. And while I did not fully appreciate it then, that endorsement placed him out of reach in a three-way Republican primary race. Several internal polls since June 22nd taught me that that lesson. That is the power of President Trump, and it is a testament to the enduring loyalty of Republican primary voters in Michigan to the President. Today I leave the race for Governor with great sadness because I never found a better experience than serving the people of Michigan as I did for 21 years as a prosecutor and Attorney General (and before that, as a Marine). While I achieved much greater material rewards outside of public service, those material rewards can never equal the joy and sense of purpose I felt serving the working men and women of Michigan in public office. As President Trump has endorsed John James and ordained his primary victory, I will do whatever I can to help John James, @tonyforlini1, and @DougLloyd4ag win in November. We need them and the whole Republican team to win and roll back the last 8 years of despair, distress, and decline and return Michigan to greatness. The stakes are simply too high. Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, donor, friend, and family member who stood with me during this campaign. Most of all, thank you to Laura Cox whose love and support never wavered. I leave this race with gratitude, optimism, and faith in Michigan’s future because I have met so many women and men of purpose on the campaign who are working to get it done. Mike Cox

Why is it that no one talks about @McdonaldRivet & @HillaryScholten still haven't endorsed @AbdulElSayed? Forget about former Dem Chairman Lon Johnson, according to Claude and Google and the woman down the street, these two incumbent Democrat moderate Congresswomen are not buying his BS. Enough said. Don't hate on them for being reasonable and secretly supporting @MikeRogersForMI

.@cbhines586 is way out in left field for attacking veterans and active duty soldiers like Captain @BouchardforMI as cowardly. Especially since her whole career has been spent taking short cut by cutting violent criminals loose in Washtenaw County with @EliNSavit
Christina Hines has made it clear she does not respect veterans or service members. She said I’ve never worked hard and now she’s called me a coward. I fought for this country. My friends and fellow veterans put their lives on the line for this country. Shame on her. Veterans aren't cowards.

As the Outlaw Country coalitions director of @DougLloyd4ag’s campaign, I took @LauraCoxMI to see @RyanBingham at the GLC in GR. Most of the world knows him as Walker on Yellowstone but he is a kickass country rocker with an Oscar and Grammy. Tough work but someone’s gotta do it!

Good to see @dananessel stand up for competition.
Breaking: AG Dana Nessel sues Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, alleging an illegal health insurance monopoly in violation of federal & state antitrust laws, which she says significantly contributed to or caused many of the rising costs & negative health outcomes for residents.

Talked Mississippi Miracle @JohnJamesMI conference with John and Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi. Mississippi’s revolution in education gave my two grandbabies a better education than what the kids in my neighborhood in Livonia get! Yes, Mississippi! Mississippi moved from 49th to 9th in 4th grade reading over the past 12 years - while Michigan dropped from 32nd to 48th. John James = change for your kids

Eli Savit’s stance on legalizing prostitution is foolish and dangerous. It is the perspective of a social engineer, not a prosecutor.  Not prosecuting johns only leads to more human trafficking.    I stand with anti-trafficking groups like World Without Exploitation. I will demand accountability to combat sex trafficking.  Mr. Savit’s position ignores the realities of the sex trade: buyers are overwhelmingly men, while those being purchased are disproportionately women and girls  —particularly people of color and individuals from foster care and other underserved communities.   He calls this “consensual sex work”.  I call it exploitation of the vulnerable.    As recent events at the national level have made unmistakably clear, purchasers may also include billionaires and other powerful, privileged men who have relied on their wealth and influence to avoid scrutiny and accountability.    As AG, I promise to work towards accountability to hold those who enabled Epstein in Michigan at Interlochen and allowed him to abuse children from Michigan and allow others to abuse them as well. This means looking at the offenders and enablers – and prosecuting the people who are purchasing women and girls every day right here in Michigan. bridgemi.com/michigan-govern…

In 2020, Abdul El-Sayed said he wanted to defund the police. Now, he's running for Senate and running from his past. Defunding the police means leaving Michigan families to fend for themselves. Mike Rogers is fighting to keep every Michigander safe, no matter their ZIP code.

🚨Don’t Washtenaw My Michigan🚨 Eli Savit isn’t just another Democrat. He’s the living embodiment of the radical progressive socialist prosecutor experiment that has failed cities across America and now he wants to take that experiment statewide as Michigan’s Attorney General. This is the same Eli Savit who, the moment he became Washtenaw County Prosecutor in 2021, started treating the office like a social justice laboratory instead of a law enforcement. Eli Savit abolished cash bail, so that violent and repeat offenders no longer have to post bond to walk free. Eli Savit purposely released dangerous people back into the community under the banner of equity. Public safety is treated as an afterthought. Eli Savit unilaterally declared that magic mushrooms and other psychedelic drugs would no longer be prosecuted. Possession and distribution of mind altering substances became officially ignored. The Michigan Legislature never legalized them. Eli Savit simply decided the law no longer applied in his county. Eli Savit ordered his office to stop charging prostitution. By refusing to prosecute the human trafficking sex trade, he effectively protected the market that pimps and traffickers rely on. The message was clear: the Eli Savit would look the other way while the human trafficking sex industry continued operating. When emergency crews discovered 500 to 600 pounds of black market marijuana, a massive illegal trafficking operation worth an estimated $1.5 to $2 million, Savit’s office refused to charge a single person. Eli Savit’s own non prosecution policy turned looking the other way into official policy. Industrial scale drug trafficking got a free pass. A violent predator named Mauriel Hearn was charged with hog tying a woman, duct taping her, and attempting to suffocate her with a plastic bag. Under Eli Savit, this man received probation instead of prison. Two years later the same predator was accused of carjacking a mother and shooting her in front of her 11 year old child. The pattern is clear… soft treatment of the dangerous, hard consequences for victims. He directed prosecutors to structure plea deals specifically to avoid immigration consequences whenever possible. The Trump Justice Department later sued Washtenaw County, naming Eli Savit personally, for systematically obstructing federal immigration enforcement and shielding criminal aliens from ICE. This is not criminal justice reform.
This is radical progressive activism that treats criminals as the preferred constituency and law abiding citizens as collateral damage. Savit ran on a decarceral platform. He celebrated reducing the number of people locked up. He governed like an ideologue who happened to hold a badge, not a prosecutor sworn to enforce the law and protect the public. Reject radical Ann Arbor Democrat socialist Eli Savit. Don’t Washtenaw My Michigan. VOTE DOUG LLYOD FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL TO RESTORE THE RULE OF LAW! So I have this SIMPLE request for you... 41% increase in central staff while student enrollment drops. Huge jumps in school staff across the board - as enrollment and scores drop. Why? The MEA controls state and local education policymaking. Its all about the system over students. And the system over teachers in the classroom. Why public school staffs grew as fewer students came to class detroitnews.com/story/news/l…

Today is a day when words usually fall short. So after having a Marine daughter who spent 13 months in Fallujah, Iraq and a Navy son who spent 10 months on destroyer in the Straits of Hormuz last year, I simply rely on the words of Solomon in Ecclesiastes: There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:     a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,     a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,     a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,     a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,     a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,     a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,     a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

⚠️ WARNING FOR MICHIGAN! Radical Abdul El-Sayed wants 4,000 dangerous criminals released. It’s in his campaign plan. Criminals like Jason Symonds, a convicted child rapist and murderer. His victim? A 5 year old girl. That’s Abdul El-Sayed’s plan. He’s DANGEROUS.
