Another one bites the dust.
Later today, we are officially ending all remaining support for the Iron Fish network. A few days ago, we observed abnormal activity involving wIRON and the ChainPort bridge. After working with ChainPort and reviewing their logs, we discovered that the cause was an inflation bug in the Iron Fish blockchain itself. We traced the bug to a commit from early 2019 in the Merkle tree implementation. The developer at the time implemented a standard Merkle tree. However, because of nuances in how a note’s nullifier is calculated (the mechanism that lets a normal user spend their funds), the attacker was able to spend the same note more than once. The attacker then compounded the exploit, aggregated their notes, and exited through the ChainPort bridge. This code path was within the scope of both our external and internal audits, but the bug wasn’t caught during review. For closure, we’ve committed the patch for the exploit, with a detailed postmortem included in the PR, before shutting down and archiving the ironfish repo. The meta-analysis here is that software that can’t be upgraded immediately (most of crypto), is in an extremely precarious position. The ability to find and exploit vulnerabilities in technically complex code is becoming commoditized. Safety guardrails on US frontier models make it difficult for companies to use them to patch security vulnerabilities, while abliterated open-source models are approaching frontier capabilities. We wish everyone all the best, and we hope crypto finds a path through this. Thank you all.

Where can I short $XBT ?
XBT miners, you're about to get PAID 💰 The 45-day lockup starts unlocking around Oct 31. About 20,260 XBT trickles back out through mid-December. But there's a catch 👀 A new 180-DAY lockup starts right behind it. Anything mined from the end of October can't move until about April 2027. Dates, block numbers and what to do before then: piped.video/cxf5rNIQ_iM Are you still mining XBT after this? 👇

I see a lot of new followers lately and some may not be aware of my YouTube channel. I do occasionally miss making videos, but YouTube made it impossible for me to invest that much time for it to be taken away with no just cuase and with no recourse. YouTube is a wonderful place for content supporters but a terrible place for content creators. For those curious here is the link, (I don't post new videos just fyi) piped.video/@minesum10?si=3O…

You are now down 30% of potential earnings if you took screenshots instead of profits. $PEARL and if you plan on holding, you could have accumulated another 30% by selling and then rebuying.
Now $PEARL is ranked #83 by marketcap. I am excited as a miner, but the likelihood of this coin doing what the majority of coins do is very high. Grift off the current narrative, never deliver anything tangible, dwindle to a miniscule emmission. I road many coins to their tops and exited at the right time. I've held a few to long too. Best case scenario IMO we do something similar to $KAS, hit top 20 and fizzle out. I would be surprised if it breaks the top 50 though. Don't take screen shots, take profits.

Two days after this post, BTC fell from 75k to 60k then revisited the lows in late June/ early July. Sentiment seems to be turning sour, will be interesting if the second half of this prediction plays out.
Assuming the macro economic situation does not massively change the trajectory of all assets, here is my prediction... crypto finds a bottom between now and April, then if republicans loose the midterms we revisit those lows in November. IDK if this trendline for TOTAL Crypto Marketcap will hold but assuming it does, $BTC could drop as low as $44k still. If it doesn't hold...😬
