To clarify this..The government offered an unfunded pay rise. This means out of school budgets, so taking away from essential resources and staff made redundant..this would be damaging for students' education. So I strike FOR my students and for my children's future education.
The Government is disappointed the NEU has called more strike action. It’s important that children remain in the classroom, especially as exams are fast approaching.
Pay will now be decided by the independent pay review body which will recommend pay rises for next year.
