What the actual FUCK, @ufc?! HOW THE HELL IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?! During the SAME UFC broadcast, your English-language stream identifies Nikita Krylov’s birthplace as DONETSK, UKRAINE, while your ruzzian-language stream labels it DONETSK, rUZZIA. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?! Donetsk is UKRAINE. It has ALWAYS been Ukraine. ruzzia’s illegal occupation DOES NOT change that. While Ukrainians are being killed defending their country against ruzzian aggression, you’re casually presenting internationally recognised Ukrainian territory as ruzzian territory to your ruzzian-speaking audience?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? This isn’t some harmless translation mistake. You’re displaying two completely different versions of reality depending on the language of the broadcast. @ufc, we demand a PUBLIC EXPLANATION. Who authorised this? Why was Donetsk labelled as ruzzia? And what are you going to do about it? You don’t get to recognise Ukraine’s borders in English and erase them in ruzziab. DONETSK IS UKRAINE! NOT rUZZIA! NEVER WAS! NEVER WILL BE!

This is seriously my favorite book I've read in my 26-year professional career. I read this book in one day, taking copious notes throughout. The author, Paige Pullen contends that effective literacy instruction requires insights from three complementary knowledge bases: Literacy science Learning science Instructional science This book is pure brilliance. I honestly hope it sells a million copies. This should be a core academic book in every school of education AND one that should be read by every single educator out there. It really is that good!

If they want d to waste money on a referendum, why weren’t these questions posed? Pension plan and provincial police force. Why not the water not coal question.
What is going on with @ABDanielleSmith and the @Alberta_UCP? Does anyone remember the Alberta Next Panel? Chaired by Premier Danielle Smith, the 15-member panel conducted a 10-city province-wide tour and online engagement through the summer and fall of 2025. Key Recommendations and Proposals: - Canada Pension Plan (CPP): Recommended a province-wide referendum on exiting the CPP to establish an Alberta-run pension plan. - Provincial Police Service: Proposed replacing the RCMP with a provincial police force. - Immigration & Self-Government: Suggested greater provincial control over immigration and asserting constitutional jurisdiction over social services and the justice system. - Taxation & Equalization: Explored options regarding personal income tax collection and reforming federal transfer payments. The complete copy of the recommendations can be found here: Alberta Next Panel recommendations - Open Government share.google/o1Y1D11vcuygRSd… A year later, a Referendum was held and going into the fall session of the 31st sitting of the Alberta Legislature, none of the Referendum questions approved by Albertans will be on the docket. Millions of taxpayer $$$ has been spent on a panel that criss-crossed the province in 2025 and a Referendum held in 2026 for what? Were Albertans not asked for a mandate? What the hell is the purpose of this (apparent) exercise of wastefullness? Danielle Smith has lost her way. It is time for the UCP membership to take over the rudder.

He swam across an icy river with a concussion to reach Azovstal. Then he endured 10 months of torture with electric shocks in russian captivity. But one of the most painful memories of his captivity had nothing to do with what his captors did to him. Imagine it: April, 3 a.m. The water is just a few degrees above freezing. You have no wetsuit, a concussion, and you’re vomiting blood. Your only mission is to swim across the river to reach Azovstal. This is how the story of Ukrainian border guard Illia Illiashenko, call sign Smurf, began. A missile struck beneath the wheel of his vehicle. He lost consciousness. When he came to, blood was running from his ears. His helmet had been split in half. Then came mortar fire, shrapnel, isolation, and an encounter with fighters from the Right Sector under fire. And then, the river. The moment he entered the water, his legs cramped. He began to drown. He struggled through the water, swallowed mouthfuls of it, but somehow made it across. He reached the shore and collapsed, unable to feel his own body. Beside him lay a fallen comrade, wounded in the back. Then came captivity. Ten months in Taganrog. His captors burned his arm over a tattoo. They tortured him with electric shocks. Special forces came just to inspect his tattoos. They beat his leg with a stick because of the swallows tattooed on it and asked, “Maybe you’re a pilot?” But what he remembers most vividly is something else. His mother had seen his name on a list of the dead. Desperate to find out whether he was alive, she travelled to the penal colony in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky. She stood outside the gates for three days. December. Freezing temperatures. Out in the open. Nobody came out. Nobody called her. Eventually, she went home. He remembers another detail, too: a pair of shoes. When prisoners were transferred from Taganrog, he was given black, pointed shoes in size 47. His actual size was 40. Months later, as preparations began for a prisoner exchange, he was handed the same bag with the same shoes. He gathered the courage to ask permission to exchange them with another prisoner. They allowed it. Smurf returned from captivity weighing just 43 kilograms. Before his capture, he had weighed 60. He still doesn’t know why he was exchanged while thousands of other Ukrainian defenders remain in russian captivity. His call sign honours his friend Kolia Volkov, who was killed by a sniper in 2019. Smurf made it his mission to see the war through to the end — the goal his fallen friend would never get to fulfil. Because someone has to.

Why do Ukraine's Warriors of Light keep coming to Yuri for shotguns? Yuri explains the reasons in his post below! 👇 #TeamYuri purchase shotguns with proven capability in the war zone! Weapons that work and save lives! Join us! Donate any amount or sponsor equipment! 💳 chornomorets.notepin.co
Dear friends, we urgently need lots of shotguns and ammunition to protect against enemy FPV drones, as well as lots of additional equipment for special missions. All your support is matched by Ukrainian sponsors!!! We provide quality equipment, while the state issues cheap, “domestically made” stuff that simply doesn’t work: it may be listed as issued to units, but it’s away for warranty repairs; and if it isn’t being repaired, you can’t shoot it because it jams either immediately or as soon as the first grain of sand gets inside. The number of guys who have died because of this is simply horrifying. And this is happening when there are plenty of affordable, high-quality weapons that aren’t being purchased, and which the guys have to buy themselves or which we purchase for them! piped.video/R05qkkUYWbU?si=9Gvx… Look it up — there are plenty more videos and simply reviews explaining that this is absolutely not an option for the front line or even for protecting logistics. But they keep buying it because it’s “cheaper” and “I’ll be praised for purchasing a lot at a low price, and as for it not working later, well, these things happen.” We provide the Warriors of Light only with equipment that works, that suits the specific conditions, and that is the best among relatively inexpensive options. The same approach could be taken everywhere if people simply asked themselves: “What would I purchase and provide if I needed this for myself or my own child?” Oh, if the children of those in charge were serving on the front line, there would be Benellis everywhere. But as things stand, there isn’t even enough money for Turkish copies costing 35,000 UAH. “Why buy all those Typhoons?” some colonel thinks. “I’ll get the cheaper crap instead.” And he thinks that way because he doesn’t put himself in an ordinary fighter’s place; he doesn’t imagine his own child in that fighter’s shoes. Our hearts demand change — at least these basic changes: half as much, if necessary, but let all of it be quality weaponry. Let there be 12% fewer shotgun shells, but make sure they all have a 36-gram payload and that this is the standard state-issued cartridge. Then, with basic shooting and weapon maintenance skills, and a few simple tricks for adapting to the weapon, it won’t jam and will always work!!! But until things change, we keep working as before and trying to provide the Warriors of Light with the best affordable shotguns and ammunition for them!!! “With targeted early intervention in Grade 1, we can remove a dyslexic child’s designation of dyslexia.”🎤 Shouldn’t this be EVERY school districts goal?? Instead of waiting until they’re in grade 3 for an assessment, a year later for a Tier 3 intervention program like Empower, which is not enough to close the gaps that have been allowed to widen over 4,5,6 years and then thrown back into the classroom without the supports that allowed them to be successful. Very inspiring presentation from @CunninghamPsych at the @researchEDCan today! A good reminder of what so many teachers already know- waiting doesn’t work!!!!
