What stays with you after a journey beyond Earth? 🌎
Following their postflight news conference, we caught up with some of @NASA’s @SpaceX Crew-12 astronauts to reflect on the moments from their time in space that will stay with them forever. Hear the memories behind the mission.
Some moments are worth floating back to. ✨
When @NASA’s @SpaceX Crew-13 launched on Oct. 1, they brought along a little extra company! 🚀 Meet Lucky, a hand-crocheted golden dragon and the crew’s zero-gravity indicator! These small companions float freely once a spacecraft reaches microgravity, giving astronauts a visual sign that they’re officially weightless.
LIVE: Get a preview of two upcoming spacewalks set for Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. @astro_anil and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Joshua Kutryk will use both spacewalks to finish installing solar arrays. nitter.siddz.com/i/broadcasts/1jxXgBNWy…
When our @NASAArtemis missions land on the Moon, we need to be ready to take manual control for a successful landing. For the Manual Piloting study, I flew this landing simulator before and immediately after spaceflight to assess if any changes associated with cognitive function or gravity affected my performance. Thankfully, I was able to land successfully even just two hours after we splashed down!
A year “on” Mars! 🔴
Our CHAPEA crew has spent 365 days living & working like astronauts inside their simulated Mars habitat at Johnson Space Center. Learn how their work — growing crops, conducting extravehicular activities, & more — is helping scientists prepare for future long-duration missions: go.nasa.gov/4Bhithq

Another power upgrade is coming ⚡
The final pair of roll-out solar arrays have arrived at the space station aboard the latest SpaceX Dragon resupply.go.nasa.gov/4yhOGCr

Station truss structures, robotic hardware, and attached modules are visible against the dark background of space. The solar arrays appear illuminated by sunlight, highlighting the power-generating systems that support station operations and research in orbit.

Look up, Houston! You might just see double. 👀
Thursday morning around 5:36 a.m. CDT, you could catch not one, but TWO spacecraft passing overhead! The International @Space_Station and @NASA’s @SpaceX CRS-35 cargo spacecraft will be visible in the Houston sky ahead of docking. Consider it a cosmic double feature before your morning coffee! ☕
ALT The International Space Station is pictured from the SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavour during a fly around of the orbiting lab that took place following its undocking from the Harmony module’s space-facing port on Nov. 8, 2021. At that time, Dragon will be traveling behind the @Space_Station and appear much dimmer. To best spot Dragon, find the space station and watch it pass a star or other reference point of your choosing. Dragon will essentially follow the same path across the sky around 5 or 6 seconds later.
