One day we will learn not to judge groups by the worst behavior of the worst of their members.

A chaplain can't really provide support to horses, but can give a mint. We do provide a confidential, independent, impartial and off the record chat to humans. #TalkToAChaplain

I'm doing chaplaincy all wrong if I'm "promoting Islam" or trying to convert people. Despite numerous assumptions, I don't promote terrorism, cover up child abuse/grooming or advocate domestic abuse. My faith motivates me, but the role isn't about me or my religion.

I'm not. as regulars will know, religious in any way. But this, from a Stratord-Upon-Avon tea shop referring to a Jewish family who asked if they might have cucumber sandwiches rather than chicken, reads like a deeper antipathy than "no religious requests sorry" is at play.
Replying to @ariehkovler
Update: @TheFourteas has responded, basically mocking my Jewish friends for not eating non-Kosher meat as "seeking refuge behind imaginative cultural or religious reasons". All they wanted was to swap a chicken sandwich for cucumber, or to just leave it off the plate altogether

Solent NHS Trust's Multi Faith Resource Group wish all our Hindu Brothers and Sisters joy and peace for Raksha Bandhan! This festival is all about feeling safe and protected. We are thinking of our new International nurses celebrating this festival away from their families.💙

One of the greatest & simplest pleasures in life? Just sitting down by myself on a bench in the park doing absolutely nothing & embracing the solitude & peace That's why I love benches so much 🙂

Is a #chaplain exclusively for a particular faith group? No! A chaplain regardless of setting is a person of faith available for people of all faiths and none. I'm a Chaplain who is Muslim, not a "Muslim Chaplain". Limiting yourself to one's own faith group isn't chaplaincy.
