John Joern is a consistent scoring threat across the entire floor. Not limited to certain spots, the 6β3β shooting guard can penetrate and finish with creativity and athleticism or knock down jumpers from all levels. Good ball control with both hands. This University of Texas A&M - Texarkana commit presents multiple problems for defenses with the ability to attack with accuracy while on the move. @j_joern5@NXTLevelSN
π― RESPECT THE SHOOTER!!!
John Joern III | @j_joern5
6'3 G | @CyWoodsHoops | 2027 | 3.6 GPA
The shot is the calling card.
The ability to punish you for respecting it too much is what makes him dangerous.
John showed a QUICK trigger, legit range & confidence from deep, consistently making the defense pay when they lost track of him at the @vypehouston Fall Showcase. But he wasnβt limited to just standing behind the line waiting on the ball.
Shooting gravity opened up the rest of his offensive game & he was able to attack closeouts & finish in other areas of the floor

Jaiden Baker is a working manβs playmaker. He focuses on the so-called little things that win games. Muscular and physical, Jaiden relishes causing havoc on the defensive end and battling for every loose ball. Very effective running the offense with nice passing and accurate shooting. Good quickness and acceleration with the ball. @JaidenBaker44@NXTLevelSN
Shane Young plays as smart as his GPA and SAT would suggest. In constant motion to shake opponents, the 6β1β combo guard excels at identifying and exploiting defensive weaknesses. Difficult to cover with great shot selection. Very big upside. @shaneyoung2027@NXTLevelSN
Three point specialist Zacavren Grimm has earned a stack of offers. Puts pressure on defenses from multiple angles with good ball movement and remarkable accuracy from distance. Elusive and explosive. Makes good decisions with and without the ball. @zacavren@NXTLevelSN
βΌοΈ'27 G, Zacavren Grimm @zacavren had a strong showcase and was invited to campus of Texas A&M Texarkana on Monday (day after). Things are looking up for the senior π
Senior guard Derek Lewis is practically unstoppable in the lane. Strong and aggressive, he plays a physical inside game on both ends of the floor while displaying a shooterβs touch. Great at using leverage to create space under the basket. @DerekLewisuno@NXTLevelSN
Senior big man Jimmie Finister is primed for a memorable season. Plays through contact without losing advantage. Mixes intelligence with brute force to finish possessions with points. Reliable inside presence. @Jimbo3f@NXTLevelSN
EHS Recruiting Spotlight | Hayden Woodbury (2027)
@HaydenWoodbury has been progressing nicely! Currently ranked as the No. 48 in Texas for the class of 2027 by @5_report. Good job staying on top of things and moving up the rankings.

EHS Scout's Take | Christian Flournoy.
@ChristianF17857 can play with a great handle. Using his ability to hesitate and pull up for a jumpshot he can score at will. Great court awareness and passing to keep the ball moving. Good on defense as well with active hands. He is a great guard to have on your team if you want to win.

π₯ FILM BREAKDOWN
@ChristianF17857 plays with the poise and offensive polish of a guard who consistently makes winning plays.
β’ Comfortable ball handler with a tight handle that allows him to create space without over-dribbling.
β’ Uses a polished hesitation move and a clean pull-up jumper to consistently create quality looks.
β’ Creative scorer in the mid-range with the ability to play at different speeds.
β’ Sees the floor well and delivers accurate passes, keeping the offense flowing.
β’ Disruptive defender with active hands who consistently creates extra possessions.
β’ Efficient decision-maker who values possessions while remaining aggressive offensively.
β’ Balanced offensive approach that allows him to score when needed while creating opportunities for teammates.
Christian's combination of shot creation, playmaking, and defensive activity really stand out when watching him play.
Great two way player. Can shoot from distance which will help open up defenses and is able to guard tough matchups. Always plays good basketball with good IQ and decisions to help his team win.

EHS SCOUT'S TAKE: Jaiden Baker
Don't sleep on this 2027 PG just because he's smaller. Watch his abilities as a guard.
This 5'9" floor general from Katy Taylor plays with confidence in his hands and outside shooting. Can get to the rim.
I think he can use his shooting and handles to get ahead of larger players with his change of pace.
@JaidenBaker44@NXTLevelSN
EHS SCOUT'S TAKE: Tuskegee commit Shane Young continues to show his value as a skilled, efficient backcourt presence.
Young had 16 PTS | 2 REB | 3 AST in fall ball.
Shane Young is able to play at a faster tempo and find himself open and make the pull up. He also knows when to force the issue on himself and look for others. Quick first step and good decision making.
I think he will fit very well in the Tuskegee back court.
@shaneyoung2027 | @Tuskegee_MBB | @FBCA_Bball@NXTLevelSN
EHS SCOUT'S TAKE: I like the offensive versatility of Ayden Cox 6'0" PG Lamar Consolidated.
With his speed and change of pace he can get around a defender and attack the rim. Great range shooter as well. But loves to make the right play and create for himself.
Can't go wrong with a guard that can push the ball and get to the basket. Stretches the floor and can create for others.
@acox2028@NXTLevelSN
EHS SCOUT'S TAKE: 2027 PG Ayden Debose brings an aggressive scoring mentality and an intriguing offensive skill set.
Debose is 5'11" and he likes to drive and attack. Will look to create shots from the outside and in the lane.
I think he can play off of the ball and make shots while creating plays for others. Being able to play with a high IQ and see the ball will be key for him moving forward.
He's a 2027 player that should be scouted. More of a scorer right now that could become a playmaker.
@ayeee_deee0@NXTLevelSN
EHS SCOUT'S TAKE: G Fabian DelValle has some offensive upside to him.
Fabian is a offensive minded wing who can play half court and in transition. Being able to play in different styles of offense allows him to be someone to watch.
I think DelValle has good pieces to work with and would like to see how he scores and creates for others as he gets older.
@FabianDel7@NXTLevelSN
EHS SCOUT'S OPINION: 2027 G Dominique Dugas likes to attack offensively.
Dugas has a good feel for attacking on the floor. Standing at 6'2" he likes to shoot from outside and drive to the basket. He will take on defenders and try to attack the rim which is good to see.
I think Dominique Dugas has some good traits to build off of as an attack minded guard. How he continues to improve as a shot creator/finisher/decision maker will go a long way with him being versatile offensively on the next level.

MUST SEE PROSPECT
Parker Hughston @lilpooka2 looks like he's going to make a college coach very happy someday. I LOVE his jumper. Hughston has a smooth transfer from pocket to release. He looks like he has a high release that makes a perfect closeout very tough. Hughston can shoot through defenders. His legs are very involved in the shot, making it easier to get high percentage looks from beyond the arc. Hughston can also finish in transition filling the wing opposite the ball.

PUT HIM ON YOUR RADAR!
Dominique Dugas Jr. @DomDugas2027 should have the eye of a lot of college coaches. He brings a lot to the table as a player and prospect. The senior guard is a true 2 way player who makes it tough for coaches to take him off the floor. Dugas can be an absolute playmaker on the defensive end. He can pressure the ball and create some chaos on the perimeter. I'd call Dugas a defensive shot clock eater, forcing the offense into emergency actions.
