The hardest part of being a parent in recruiting is not the recruiting itself. It is learning when to advocate and when to step back. Coaches notice both. They notice the parent who lets the student-athlete drive the conversation. They noticed the parent who cannot. One of those parents helps the recruitment. The other quietly ends it.
