Most people around me still talk about AI as an app on their phone. Very few talk about it as an industry with factories, supply chains and real pricing.
That is why I appreciate that
@TheDAOLabs started the Compute as an Asset series with the basics. Part 1 doesn't assume the reader already knows what a GPU is for. It goes step by step from what compute actually is to how it becomes something people can trade.
For a community built around contribution, this matters more than it looks.
Social Miners are often the ones explaining new ideas to everyone else. We write threads, answer questions in comment sections and break down complex topics for people who will never read a technical report. If we don't understand the infrastructure layer of AI, we can't explain it honestly.
What stands out most to me is the timing. In the early days, the people who understood how Bitcoin mining worked shaped the conversation long before the public caught on. Compute is reaching that same early point now. The
#SocialMining contributors who take the time to study it now will be the voices people trust when it goes mainstream.
Education first. Opinions later.
I'll be reading the rest of this series with my notes open.
Machine + electricity = market-priced output.
The logic behind Bitcoin and Social Mining is now turning raw processing power into AI’s new oil.
Here is what “compute” actually means, how GPU-hours trade, and why it matters.
