the more games move toward digital libraries, subscriptions and always-online features, the more i think about what it means to own a game.
buying a disc used to feel simple: you had the game, you could lend it to a friend or keep it on the shelf. now the experience can depend on servers, account access, patches and whatever the publisher decides to support years later.
digital is more convenient, and i'm not pretending i don't use it. but convenience and ownership aren't quite the same thing.
i'd love to see more publishers explain what happens to a game when support ends.
do you still prefer physical games, or has digital convenience won you over?
