Nate Dogg is the godfather of funk
but Warren G is behind so many critical hip hop moments.
I don’t think we get the sameRoc nation/Def Jam legacy without Warren G and Snoop.
Nate Dogg & Snoop Dogg.
Two Long Beach legends who helped define the sound of West Coast hip-hop. Their impact on the culture will never fade.

SOB X RBE linking up with Shoreline Mafia was like the Ninja Turtles meeting the Power Rangers 😭🔥
The Bay and LA really had two legendary squads at the same time.

I fucks w/ this HEAVY lefty.
🫱🏾🫲🏼
West Coast Rapper Lefty Gunplay was asked by Tony Yayo about not using the N-word.
Yayo-“You say you don’t use the N-word, explain that to me?”
Lefty - “I don’t speak like that, and I know it’s a respect thing to not come up to a black and use that word, it’s not in my vocabulary”
Uncle Murda- “ but out here it’s different, because we grew up with Latinos and we all together, in New York it’s different.”
Lefty - “but if he were to do that in prison…”

Anyone who knows the history of west coast hip hop music knows this
Kendrick Lamar did NOT steal Drakeo The Ruler’s flow.
The flow Kendrick used on GNX has been part of West Coast hip-hop long before either artist.
Both artists brought their own style to LA rap. Giving Kendrick credit doesn’t take anything away from Drakeo’s legacy.
RIP The Ruler.

I think the west coast just has a flow and this is the basis of the style ….. nobody in Detroit is mad at other Detroit rappers for rapping like Detroit people rap lmao California just has its own flow , just like Texas , just like Atlanta ….
RIP to Drakeo 🕊️
Respect to Kendrick 👑
All I’m gonna say is there is actual receipts of rappers from The Bay with that flow before both of them. One of the most obvious ones is Clyde Carson on “Slow Down”

What would a Tyler, The Creator x Earl Sweatshirt x Frank Ocean reunion sound like in 2026? 👀
The production, the bars, the vocals… OFWGKTA fans would lose their minds. 🐐

2Pac & Snoop Dogg in the 1990s.
Two West Coast icons during an era when California had hip-hop in a chokehold.
Death Row Records was a movement.
