Brian Schottenheimer cites playing from behind as one of the main reasons why they haven't used as much motion in 2026. The Cowboys led all of Week 8 until the Cardinals' game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter. Out of 28 teams to play last week, Cowboys ranked 18th in motion and 26th in motion at the snap.

a small point. going to be REALLY hard for House Republican leadership to get people back to Washington for the lame duck.

There are so many things where people say "it seems like" or "it feels like" and now, we can actually try to answer these questions. Here's an example. Blake said, "I feel like the Cowboys are poor front runners." Over the past 20 years, Dallas is middle of the pack covering the spread. However, if you look at SHORT FAVORITES, (0.5-3 points) Dallas is abysmal. 30th win rate. 32nd against the spread. THESE are the games that stand out. When you feel good about them, maybe a nice -2.5 home game against another good team, and they don't show up. Since 2006, they actually have a losing record (not losing against the spread) as a short favorite. To me, this is the number that best explains what this era feels like.

the cowboys route tree is more of a shrub. nearly 50%!
A season and a half is all we need to know that Brian Schottenheimer isn’t the guy: that he has none of the answers he keeps promising he’s on the hunt for as another season of Dak Prescott’s prime slips away. The roster, while hardly perfect, is much more talented than it was when he started, thanks in no small part to a front office that is trying again. Yet anyone watching sees a team that looks even further away from its goal than it was a season ago. @NotJackKemp dmagazine.com/sports/2026/11…

The idea behind EP was spawned by an actual NFL QB, while he was still playing. Look up Virgil Carter. pubsonline.informs.org/doi/a… You might also find surprising the occupation of the guy who published the first working EPA model.

Brian Schottenheimer has no answers; the offense has regressed. His game plan Sunday was awful, which has become routine (they ran the ball into a heavy box 11 times on first down ALONE). For @DMagazine dmagazine.com/sports/2026/11…

I get that you have dogs outside, and this stuff can sometimes be for dog-less offenses. but what if you also tried to occasionally *help* your dogs??
For those keeping track at home, the #Cowboys rank (in terms of frequency): 32nd in motion at the snap rate 30th in any kind of motion rate 32nd in bunch rate 31st in rate of plays that use bunch or stacks alignments with its receivers. Throwing this team's passing game design into the sun please

The Cowboys just had locker room availability, but majority of roster left the facility before we got in there. No players were interviewed. Can’t say I remember that happening before

I am a fan of a historic franchise that does historic things. Today, they put forth the sixth-worst defensive half in the EPA era (2006-26)! Sixth-worst out of OVER TWENTY ONE THOUSAND HALVES OF FOOTBALL which is bad... But we also have the second-worst! and today is the worst second half ever! I love football!
