Canada’s total tax revenue increased 56% between 2015 and 2023.
Yet by many measures things have gotten worse, not better.
And somehow the proposed solution is always more taxes. Wealth taxes, higher income taxes, more redistribution.
At what point do we recognize that we cannot tax and redistribute our way to prosperity?
We need to stop fighting over how to divide the pie and start focusing on how to grow it.

It’s not a tax on income — it’s a tax (starting at just 1%!!!) on people who are worth at least TEN MILLION dollars!
Even if you’re a home owner, I doubt your house is worth ten million.

At peak Trudeau we had a room full of TD folks in our boardroom and flat out asked them if there was a hidden mandate to debank oil and gas related companies. We could feel it, but they still liked taking that oilfield cash. Similar discussions with insurance cos.

I think @LDoerkson and the @Conservative_BC are smart enough to know that they can't embrace BC Liberal policies if they form government. The agenda is pretty simple:
- Toss SOGI
- Repeal DRIPA
- Repeal Bill 44
- Fix healthcare
- Fire 10,000 NDP bureaucrats
- Repair the province's finances
- Open up resource development
That's a good start.
