People missed my point on this, the point isn't that "changing FOV is cheating", I change my FOV on every game that obviously wasn't my point
In that I mean that they change their FOV beyond what the game lets them. Why is this a problem? You see things way off screen which you wouldn't have seen otherwise, and that is cheating
Furthermore, big bright highlights of the enemy show them more visibility so you couldn't even accidentally miss them. They might without modifications blend into the background so you can't aim at them properly.
Yes the game has performance issues the team needs to address, and with this the collaboration of people providing modified ini's and making mods for optimization is a good thing and this collaboration between both
@valvesoftware and modders should be encouraged. It needs to be done the right way though which I am hopeful will happen
Giving everyone the options to do this level of settings changing officially through the game without downloading random settings ini's from people across the internet would solve some of the problems, but this does need serious moderation to not give people using this an unfair advantage over people who don't use this.
Appreciate all the kind and loving words from the aiming community keep the constructive criticism going, I would love to hear your side on this more
