“Today officially makes me 1 year into Web3.”
Wow, it’s crazy how time flies and, most importantly, how much I’ve learnt.
I have seen premium shege in just 1 year in Web3😭
So, lemme give you all a little backdrop on how I came into the space.
I’m an Electro/Mechanical Engineer IRL, so sometime in early September 2025, I started learning Solidity, not Web3.
I had just 1 month left to finish my IT last year at a seaport terminal in Lagos, around October.
Then, I had a scholarship to study abroad, but online (IU). Six months into the programme, I lost my scholarship.
Now, I hate being idle. I would rather read my course materials or learn something than play games or watch movies after I get back from work.
So, after I got suspended from school, I felt the need to do something productive.
Then, I saw a senior engineer colleague programming in Solidity, and I was like, “What language is this? I want to learn.”
He told me to choose a path in Web3 and not become a dev just because he was one.
I said, “No O, na this programming I want to do.”😂
Fast forward to 1 month later, October 10th, 2025, on a Friday.
He told me about the
@blockfestafrica event happening the next day, October 11th, and gave me his ticket.
I was excited, and I attended BLOCKFEST’25, although alone, since he was on shift at work on Saturday.
BLOCKFEST 2025 became my DAY 1 in Web3.
(October 11th, 2025 — today, but 365 days ago.)
I literally opened my X account on the spot at BLOCKFEST. I gave myself a name and a PFP.
If I hadn’t attended BLOCKFEST last year, I wouldn’t be in Web3, tbh.
It was because I saw how massive BLOCKFEST was and how great
@SamuelXeus was.
Then, I started learning the basics of Web3.
I loved the whole idea of Web3 (I was in for the tek, tbh😂) so much that, after my IT, I locked in to Web3 all day.
I turned down 10 Web2 jobs to lock in to Web3. I told my family I wanted to go all in.
What gave me the confidence?
I made 4 figures in my second month in Web3.
Little did I know, I would go through HELL‼️😭
I have done a lot of things in Web3 in just 1 year.
Because I don’t know who sent me to take such a high risk without having any mentor.
I have given up 3 times in just 1 year, lost my 4 figures, lost my Web2 friends and job, almost got paralysed due to locking in, gone to zero 3 times, been betrayed by so-called friends more than once, lost respect from friends and family, changed my niche like 7 times, and more.
All in just 1 year😭
But somehow, I keep coming back. Probably, I’m meant for greatness.😒
“Clarity comes with doing.”
And somehow, it is beginning to make sense, and I am beginning to find clarity in my journey.
Currently, I have built a reputation as:
➙ The 1st Web3 Event Content Creator
➙ An X account with 5k+ followers
➙ A growing community of 300+ members
I have JEHOVAH GOD too🥺🫶
It’s been a crazy one, yeah?
But I will keep on being a moving man.
Manifesting the RESULTS of a man in motion soon.
Till then, build with Axtronaut, keep moving, & think Axtronaumical🙂↔️🫶
“Today officially marks my 6 months in Web3.”
It all started at
@blockfestafrica last year, after listening to
@SamuelXeus speak and witnessing how massive the event was, that was Day 1 for me.
The last 6 months have been one hell of a ride, an experience truly worth reflecting on.
I went so hard that I completely lost touch with Web2.
Within my first month, I landed my first Web3 job. By the next month, I delivered so well that I earned my first 3-figure payout.
Along the way, I made a lot of mistakes and lost money while exploring and figuring things out on my own with no real guide.
I started a personal project and nearly burned out from the financial and emotional stress that came with it.
Then the bear market hit hard and I lost my X account and felt like I had wasted 5 months of my life, to be honest i gave up completely but came back.
I’ve joined multiple communities trying to deepen my DeFi knowledge, and while I haven’t learned as much as I hoped yet, I’m still committed to learning and growing in Web3.
A lot of things has occurred but If I had to summarize my journey so far, it would be this:
“Clarity comes from doing.”
I’m looking forward to achieving even greater things by my 1-year mark.
Until then…
Keep building _ @iam__astronaut
