Proud to announce my latest addition to the RADS Classification Scheme, standardising our approach to colleagues, reducing ambiguity, informing referring clinicians COCK-RADS™ Whilst lacking true empirical data, I feel it would happily sit within the @RadiologyACR’s scheme

Totally this
It’s been a while since I named a law in honor of myself. So here goes. The Jha Maxim “optimism in autonomous medical AI is inversely proportional to the time one actually spends in clinical medicine”.

Few snaps from tonight’s partial eclipse. We got about 92% here in Bristol. First time I’ve got the exposure right and caught some sunspots!

Doing my last on-call tonight. Off the radiology on-call rota after 26 years. I’ve jinxed it now, haven’t I? It’s going to be a shocker.

Because the capitellum is not ossified, the radial head articulation is difficult to see but it should generally be held firmly adjacent to ulna by the annular ligament So if it deviates away from the ulna, that’s abnormal. Plus there shouldn’t an elbow effusion (arrow)

So the lesson is look hard at the radial head when there is a ulnar shaft fracture. It can be really hard to spot but difficult to defend if you miss it and the patient comes to harm as a result
