Claude Opus 5.5, Sol 6.1, and Astra 6 get THIS wrong all the time. Apple made agentic development so hard to validate… 1. Hardware keyboard 2. iPhone Duo folds 3. Software keyboard Want my Device Hub skill?

The demos at the MacBook Pro event yesterday were really cool and it was clear they were targeting creators. No GenAI at all, they were clear about it, just really cool creators and artists. My favorite was this flower preservation chamber and showing off the 3D model in blender (touch is better to move/interact with 3D environments)

App Store Connect CLI 6.0.0 is out!! I put a lot into this release, and I hope there's something in it for everyone building for the App Store. New pricing tools, more metadata in files, StoreKit commands and review digests. github.com/rorkai/App-Store-…

Pinch to zoom is amazing. Multitouch is amazing. Giving users more options to do that on trackpad and touchscreen is awesome. It's a quick gesture, not a long-term posture.
The iPad came out in 2010 Apple customers have gotten used to pinch-zooming on big Apple screens for over 15 years Now a lot of those customers want an Apple laptop that lets them pinch-zoom Don't overthink it

It’s refreshing to use ultrafast with GPT-6.1 Sol. It’s so much better at live steering than Opus 5.5. If you ask Opus to fix things as you test it stops working on other things and forgets about the previous requests. Opus 5.5 requires me to micromanage.

I'm so excited to share that my coffee app Breve is featured as App of the Day on the App Store in the US: apps.apple.com/us/story/id68… I just couldn't be happier! Thank you so much @AppStore!

Using DaVinci Resolve for agentic video editing? Pay attention to point releases. 21.1.2 added a lot to the scripting SDK. Some highlights: * Moving and trimming timeline clips * Deleting gaps and silence * Copying clip attributes and managing effects * Exporting frames

20,000 downloads and $20,000 in revenue. In less than a month. I’m so proud of @Keepsweeper. There’s a particular joy in making a game you keep wanting to play yourself, then discovering that a whole lot of other people feel the same way. There’s more coming, and I’m working towards bringing it to Steam too. Thank you for playing.

PSA: Clean up your Agents .md files. Delete your Claude .md files. Get your Opus/Astra/Sol models to follow one set of rules. Limit how many rules so that you don't create ambiguity. Use the prompting guides below. platform.claude.com/docs/en/… openai.com/index/practical-g…
My Opus 5.5 agent has been so dumb. I asked for a UIKit implementation, and it wrapped SwiftUI in UIKit and then proceeded to tell me both implementations had the same laggy behavior. What? BUT then I learned some of my rules were preventing it from doing what I asked. SO I have revised my agents .md file based on Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Prompting guides. Make sure your rules are easy to follow. Honestly, this wasn't a rule I asked for. I tried to slim down my Agents file, and this weird rule was written.

Went down some rabbit holes on this one. Bad rules caused really bad coding. Also caused agents to just drop the ball and not do things.

Today, I captured a bunch of Siri bugs… … BUT then I forgot to actually trigger the sysdiagnose LOG files. 1. I filmed on a separate device. 2. I took notes 3. I installed the sysdiagnose profiles Will redo tomorrow. Fun fact: washing dishes is really bad for talking to Siri on HomePod. The HomePod in the family room will respond instead of the kitchen HomePod

hi all, two things: 1. usage limits are back to being double – your feedback worked 2. we today kicked off an intense sprint to dramatically improve the app simplicity and performance. i will oversee this. more to come. now, send me your complaints
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

Not worth it for 512GB. Better off using Claude and OpenAI models. Local LLM isn't a compelling reason to get these Mac Studios with 512GB. Just get 64GB - 128GB. Use a model that fits on those machines so your tokens per second are actually useful.
This is so tempting, and the delivery dates are not bad, but I have lately been felling much less bullish on this particular model. 512GB on the surface sounds great, but presumably you'd be wanting to run some of the largest available models on it. This is problematic for me because as good as the memory bandwidth now is on these, running higher active parameter models on this device is probably going to be painfully slow. I think the mac is much more suited to run models like Qwen 3.8 Next (which has 6B active params) or maybe GLM 5.3 Flash (18b params), which you dont need 512GB for. The extra memory is useful, but its usefulness does not scale linearly with price, and so I'm just not sure. Perhaps with some mixed compute solution (DGX Sparks for prefill/computation and M5U for decode) you could have the best of both worlds. I just dont think I can live with <60toks/s, and certainly not 20.

We lost a legend today, going to be rewatching some Next Gen tonight 😢 Patrick Stewart wasn't just an amazing actor who impacted the lives of me and so many other Star Trek fans, he was an incredible person who changed so many lives. If you haven't read his memoir, "making it so," I highly recommend it. I think you'll see Patrick Steward was one amazing human.

My issue with the Duo is screen aspect. - either the keyboard takes up half the screen - or there's no benefit to the extra side screen area It's just a bad ratio for mobile. (I have this same issue with iPads.)
