For those in MAGA questioning their beliefs, the prospect of being wrong is terrifying, especially considering that MAGA has shaped their worldview and identity for, in many cases, years. I spent an entire year grappling with the liberating, but frightening, awareness that I had allowed myself to believe lies, falsehoods and conspiracy theories, and crafted an entire activist persona buttressed by those lies, falsehoods and conspiracy theories.
Leaving MAGA is a new community for those who leave MAGA; and for those in MAGA who are feeling afraid and confused. If anyone in MAGA is having doubts, we want them to know that they are not alone. We provide the pathway out of MAGA extremism.

No one watches Newsmax to enlighten, edify, educate or inform one's self. One watches Newsmax (and MAGA media, as a whole) to affirm and reinforce one's addictions to fear and rage. (And, if you're an anti-MAGA person, ask yourself if you are, also, addicted to rage and fear.).
Shouldn’t the Newsmax interviewer stop and say, actually the US gave Ukraine 0 tomahawks, or is the point just to have Trump lie to his fans all day to keep them brainwashed and ignorant?

Though I don't think most in MAGA are extremists, I do think MAGA is an extremist group, because adherents are encouraged by MAGA leaders and influencers to vilify, demonize and dehumanize Democrats, liberals, progressives, leftists, etc.

When it comes to political extremism, we did not cause it; we cannot control it; we cannot cure it; and we cannot compete with it.
Attendees are relieved of the pressures of changing their friends and loved ones; no one can change another -- the change must come from within the individual.

The villain of this story is less Trump and more the GOP, who have aided and abetted Trump for a decade.
There’s a photograph from January of 2021 that still makes me angry to look at.
Two men stand side by side at Mar-a-Lago, smiling for the camera. One of them had left the White House in disgrace a week earlier, after a mob he summoned smashed its way into the Capitol. The other was the top Republican in the House of Representatives, who had stood on the House floor days earlier and said the President “bears responsibility” for that very attack.
Kevin McCarthy flew to Florida to take that picture. And the moment that picture was tweeted out to the world, Donald Trump’s political career came back from the dead.
