Meet PiG: @pidotdev, rebuilt in Go as one native binary. Live multi-language extensions, derivative harnesses (Piglets), and everything Pi just in Go. More at pi-in-go.dev

Not @PiGCodingAgent enough 🐷
🚨 PiG 0.5.0 is out 🐷 This release took a while, and I am very happy with it. Version 0.5.0 covers all of Pi's interfaces on Pi 1.3.0. Out performs PiG 0.4.1 in every measurement. Piglets can now change PiG itself and you choose how lean PiG is. pi-in-go.dev

We're officially oinking on .agent now nice 🐷
Welcome @PiGCodingAgent, a Go port of the Pi terminal coding agent that ships as a single native binary, runs Pi's extensions unchanged, and adds a Go SDK and the Piglet format for packaging and sharing named agent configurations. agentcommunity.org/m/pig-pi-…

LayerFS v1.0.0 is out 🎉 Open-source (MIT) Recursive filesystem for AI agents. 6 core ideas: 1. Ephemeral computing: agents spend ~80% thinking, so each Bash call mounts a Workspace, then commits 2. Decentralized agents: every agent commits to one Store, no DB server 3. Multiagent coordination: every tool call is a Commit; same-file clashes refused 4. Recursive filesystem: forks copy no files, at any depth 5. Ultra storage: dedup, then compression: 10 copies → 0.31 6. Instant bootstrap: ignored files stay in every Commit. ~5 min install vs 0.05 s mount And 4 more: 7. Auto checkpoints: fork from any step 8. Append-only objects: content-addressed, never rewritten 9. .lww: lockfiles and caches take the newest edit 10. Big file, small edit: a write keeps only its bytes Here are our links: github: github.com/Ephemeral-AI-Lab/… website: layerfs.ai/ Watch the video below, and have Fun!!!

Thanks @_alejandroao for all the effort you put into helping others understand what we build
i had opus 5.5 distill this 30 min lecture about pi-durable into a 7 min vid with my voice. > qwen3 tts could do a better job cloning my voice > the video looks great. i'm working on industrializing these kind of explanation videos. good starting point, but i still recommend watching the full lecture for a more detailed explainer.

Pi Pocket 0.19 is out! Extensions get way more room: panels, status items, and buttons in the top bar, by the message box and under answers. Plus Interrupt, subagents in peek tiles, and faster streaming. Thanks to everyone who sent PRs! github.com/TannerMidd/pi-poc…

We found DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 beats GPT 6 Sol on our multi-step offensive cybersecurity task. Sol was tested via the Daybreak trusted access program. We have been building a cybersecurity benchmark based on simulated corporate networks. This is a valuable indicator for the cyber-risk a model poses if in the hands of a bad actor. We plan to make the full evaluation public in the coming weeks but wanted to share our first immediate finding here.

Shoutout my octets out there 🔥

really cool project benchmarking CPU overhead for pi-like coding agents michaelkinsy.github.io/buffo… octet is *very* fast, and there's a lot of room for improvement :)

Within the hour/day going forward :) We're already prepped for whatever the next release is. I have a porter running 24/7 to move along side main of upstream pi committing and porting to a 'next' branch so when a new pi release comes we already have the code ported. 🐷

Thank you, and piglets always generate separate binaries from core pig. So you won’t risk breaking core pig and so rolling back is as easy as running a different pig command. This even applies when building piglets from another piglet. The parent piglet remains and the new piglet is a separate binary that can be extended and used separately.
Introducing SKY-001, the first Engineering World Model. On CAD and BIM tasks, it beats GPT-6 Astra and every frontier model we tested: -> 51-125x faster - > 150-210x cheaper -> Higher IOU than all frontier models SKY-001 lets you dream a physical object before you build it. 18 months of work. Built by the team out of Maluuba's deep learning lab (acq. by @MSRResearch). The first ‘AI General Engineer’ will be the backbone for Autonomous Manufacturing.
