It's been one month since we released the Neki platform preview.
Since then we've added $50 Metal nodes, improved Postgres compatibility, read-only replicas, Azure support, and much more.

There's an obvious way to build a database router. We didn't do that.
Nothing's faster than doing nothing. See how we built Neki with the laziest Postgres router possible.

Postgres went open source 30 years ago, and we're celebrating Nov 4 with a PGDay in SF.
We'll be joined by Bruce Momjian, co-founder of open-source Postgres, @fabriziomello from our Postgres core team, and more.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see us at @aiDotEngineer NY and SREcon Dublin this week. Great conversations and two very happy MacBook Neo winners.
Next week we’re in San Francisco for:
- Cloudflare Connect
- Resend Forward
- The Agentic Stack Founder's Panel w/ @laravel and @WorkOS
We have plenty of merch to give out and would love to meet more of you.
Hear from @imjosh and @AhmedDarwich at @resend Forward.
"Users don't want your product. They want the problem it solves to go away. A talk about primitives, how to craft yours, and why they're the foundation of good software."

Every shard has its own clock. So what happens when you call now() in a query that spans all of them?
Neki has an answer for that. It also has one for sequences, which turns out to be much trickier.

AWS's own docs say gp3 volumes can drop below 90% of provisioned IOPS 1% of the time.
That's 86 hours a year, per volume. Spread a database across 768 of them and there's a 99.65% chance one is hurting production right now.
