Calling all STAR WARS fans, ahead of MANDALORIAN AND GROGU, how are you feeling about the franchise? Are you excited about where it is? Disappointed? I want to get a temperature check on Star Wars

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said he wants to bring “civility” back to air travel and it starts with people dressing up. I want to hear your thoughts on needing to dress with “respect” for air travel. Feel free to DM me your thoughts for a story I’m working on!

the amount of women expressing “i cannot date someone who votes for trump” and the amount of men responding “we should be able to disagree on things” illustrates these women’s point quite well

WSJ reports that the National Archives museum has removed references to Martin Luther King, Japanese internment, Native Americans, union organizers, and birth control, because presenting American history honestly would make Republicans uncomfortable currentaffairs.org/news/its-…

(Reposting this message everyday) Day 1. The latest word on #coyotevsacme is that @wbpictures have already made up their minds on the films fate . Just waiting for this to all die down . Perhaps another bidder comes out of left field but the asking price is pretty high . Nothing is official until it’s official but we are pretty much on the side of trying to change their minds by writing their having them #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme themselves or lower that asking price . Trust me , they hear the noise but it is going to take a TON more convincing . So what needs to happen here is we fight 100x harder than before . Tag @wbpictures , let them know you are pumped up to see this film . Let them see that they can make a profit if it’s released . I know it’s tiring , I know some people are ready to give up but we have to keep fighting . This is for all the cast and crew of a completed work of art. This is for all the fans of @LooneyTunes . This is also to prevent this behavior from happening again in the future . If they have indeed made up their minds shelve it for good ….whenever it is announced there will be just as much backlash . The smart move is for them to release it themselves, make some money , show love to the people that make them money and show appreciation to the cast and crew that makes your films .

I'm furious about the end of Game Informer. It was an incredible 33-year run and then GameStop pumps out this phony/empty farewell message. I'd bet money it was written by AI. Fuck you, GameStop and a huge fuck you to Ryan Cohen.

Heartbroken and angry. Most of my adult life was spent at Game Informer. All day, I’ve been remembering amazing moments I had with the team - some of the most talented and kindhearted people I’ve ever met and was lucky enough to work with. End of an era, but GI forever!

Today’s my second time being laid off from Game Informer. Last time, I was still able to look forward to new issues at least. I am devastated, for myself, for all of the amazing people that worked here, for all the writers who wanted to write for GI. GI forever💔

I lost my job at Game Informer today. I’m heartbroken – it was my dream job – but my bills don’t care. Effective immediately, I’m available for filming/video editing/documentary/hosting work. My passport and cameras are ready to go. Hire me: AlexVanAken.com

Hey, I'm out of a job! Currently processing all that and will have more to say later, but I'll be looking for a new gig soon!

Game Informer has been closed down by GameStop and the entire, incredibly talented staff (including myself) have all been laid off. A frustrating turn of events (especially considering we were about 70% done with the next issue and it was going to have a GREAT cover).

The short time I spent at Game Informer as an intern was an education in how to marry passion for games with journalistic rigor. The folks I met there were the kindest, hardest working people I’ve ever met. My heart goes out to all the people at GI who deserve way better

The Leftovers, every time

Last week, @nickconfessore published a damning piece of investigative reporting that didn't get nearly enough attention. It exposed the orchestrated racist and homophobic campaign against "DEI" that many of us knew was occurring but couldn't prove. nytimes.com/interactive/2024…

Been excited for this movie and this conversation, thanks to @NUGlobalNews and @Proelectioneer for the chance to talk about the Von Erich family @Northeastern @NU_CAMD

Excited to see Zac Efron and jacked Jeremy Allen White in the Iron Claw but have no idea about the true story behind the movie? I've got you covered. I talked with wrestling expert @stevegranelli about the most tragic story in pro wrestling history news.northeastern.edu/2023/1…

Fun fact: in France, Netflix already reports their viewership to writers monthly and pays writers based on that viewership, because it’s the law there. They literally already have this system in place.
