Nigeria needs better financial infrastructure for trade. We're building Prova to help make that possible.
For the past six months, we've been building Prova: programmable infrastructure for modern trade credit.
Here's the problem we're focused on.
Businesses need access to trade credit to buy inventory, fulfill orders, expand operations, and participate in domestic and international trade. But these transactions rely on financial workflows that can be fragmented across credit assessment, policy administration, risk management, claims, settlement, and reconciliation.
The institutions serving these businesses shouldn't have to rebuild their entire technology stack to make these workflows more efficient.
That's why we're building Prova.
Prova provides a technology layer that enables insurers and trade-finance providers to digitize and automate trade-credit workflows through APIs and programmable financial infrastructure.
Our approach is straightforward: financial institutions keep their underwriting, capital, compliance, and customer relationships. Prova provides the infrastructure underneath their operations.
We're not trying to become an insurance company or a bank. We're building technology that can help the institutions already serving businesses operate more efficiently and develop better digital financial products.
We've spent the past six months building the foundation. Now, we want to engage the people who understand this problem best.
We're opening conversations with:
→ Insurance companies exploring how trade credit and related financial products can be delivered more efficiently.
→ Banks and trade-finance providers looking to modernize their infrastructure and workflows.
→ Fintech companies building financial services for businesses and exploring potential integrations.
→ Developers and technical contributors interested in financial infrastructure, APIs, blockchain, and the systems that power real-world commerce.
→ Investors and angel investors interested in financial infrastructure, B2B fintech, and the digitization of trade.
→ Government institutions and development organizations working on SME growth, trade facilitation, financial inclusion, and digital financial infrastructure.
We're starting in Nigeria because we believe the infrastructure supporting African commerce deserves serious attention and investment.
But we don't want to build in isolation.
We want to speak with people working inside insurance companies, financial institutions, businesses, and government agencies. We want honest feedback from people who understand how trade credit works today, where the bottlenecks are, and what a genuinely useful solution would need to deliver.
We also want to connect with investors and strategic partners who understand that building financial infrastructure takes more than writing code. It requires trust, integration, security, institutional collaboration, and a clear understanding of the market.
If you're working in insurance, banking, trade finance, fintech, or financial infrastructure, we'd like to hear from you.
If you're a developer who wants to help build the systems behind modern commerce, let's connect.
If you're an investor who believes in the opportunity to build foundational financial infrastructure in Africa, we'd welcome a conversation.
And if you work in a government institution or development organization that could help us better understand the needs of Nigerian businesses and financial institutions, we'd value your perspective.
We're building Prova to solve a real problem, and we want the people closest to that problem to help shape what comes next.
What do you think is the biggest infrastructure gap preventing trade credit from working better for businesses in Nigeria?
We want to hear from you.
Let's build financial infrastructure that matters.
Follow Prova and reach out if you'd like to collaborate.
