We also give agents slashdocs guidelines: a living usage guide with practical patterns, updated alongside every CLI release, portable across any agent. The Skill itself just says “the SlashDocs CLI exists,” it barely changes.

That same response also tells the agent exactly how to undo it: the revoke command, right there, no separate lookup.

Example: we decided every document created inside Razorpay would be shared org-wide by default. That decision doesn’t live in a separate doc, it’s written straight into the CLI output:

That meant the CLI couldn’t just print status for someone reading a terminal. It had to hand the agent context it could actually act on, exactly when it needed it.

An underrated product choice: we built the SlashDocs CLI for agents to call, not for humans to type into line by line. It was never designed to be manually invoked.

Agent-agnostic isn't a slogan here. It's the reason your team isn't locked into any one vendor's roadmap just to keep collaborating on what its agents write.

Switch tools next month and your documents don't move. They stay exactly where they are, self-hosted, on your own infrastructure.

That's not a compatibility checkbox, it's the actual interface contract. Publish, read comments, revise, the same three actions, no matter which agent is holding the pen.

Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, if it speaks MCP or can use a CLI, it can publish a document to Slash Docs and read comments off it.

We built Slash Docs to work with whatever agent you're already using. Not just one.

You can stretch this idea further and create prototypes that actually work, and even fully functional spreadsheet inside SlashDocs.

We even made a document where there are checkboxes for each person to mark that they've read the section, and everytime they tick it - a confetti burst appears - just something to keep us going

That's why we built SlashDocs with a key-value store. Every document has access to one and it can store any data it wants there.

It fixes the doc, publishes the same document, not a new one, and replies right there. No relay. No new file. No version nobody can find.

The agent reads that comment straight off the page over CLI or MCP, same way it reads any other context you hand it.

The comment lives on the document itself, tied to the exact line or chart it's about. Not a side thread. Not a DM.

Slash Docs does this differently. Here's the actual loop:

Old way: that comment becomes a Slack message, gets relayed into a prompt by hand, agent generates a new file. Repeat five times, lose track of which version is real.
