Obviously Hasan Piker is an idiot with no knowledge of CCP history (or even Islamic history). But he brings up Mao and he is DSA, so that is notable. As such, everyone should learn that it was Mao Zedong’s second rise to power that is very similar to the rise of the @DemSocialists: using the existing political system (until he smashed it), a focusing on youths as foot soldiers (DSA does this with their own events and also aligns with @pslnational, the thug group that also targets youths for violent protest participation), & the scapegoating any authority figures to unify stupid people and form them into a violent, barely controllable mob. @XVanFleet explained this very well on my podcast in last year as she lived through Mao’s “Red Terror” and now dedicates her life to warning Americans not to ignore it, but to fight it before it’s too late.
