When Republicans disagree with the political opposition, we take our arguments to the hearts and minds of the American people. When members of the radical left disagree with their political opponents, they often threaten, harass, and persecute them. Tragically, the recent statement from U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin is not an outlier or a misstatement. Rather, it embodies what we have seen and experienced from the radical left - especially over the past decade. This rhetoric, and the will to make it a frightening reality, flies in the face of how our country's founders established our constitutional republic—the shining city on a hill. These threats and subsequent actions must end. Our nation cannot stand with one party resorting to such tactics. For the sake and future of our great country, let's agree to disagree, remembering that we are all Americans who want what's best for our children and grandchildren.

I'm taking action to require states to strengthen their efforts to identify and combat fraud, waste, and abuse in their Medicaid programs. Government officials have a responsibility to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars and ensure that Americans’ hard-earned money is spent appropriately and protected from fraud.
