The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) wants to warn Canadians about the importance of protecting their personal and financial information. Fraudsters can collect information from many sources, including social media, fraudulent emails and text messages, online forms and surveys, data breaches and information that is publicly available. Details such as your name, date of birth, phone number, employer, family members, travel plans or social media activity may not seem sensitive on their own. This morning, Richmond RCMP members and RCMP volunteers were at Bridgeport SkyTrain Station handing out approximately 500 reflective safety items to transit users, helping increase pedestrian visibility and promote road safety. Stay bright, stay visible, and stay safe

RCMP members and volunteers were out at Minoru today promoting pedestrian safety and handing out reflectors to help pedestrians stay visible. As daylight hours get shorter, being seen can make all the difference. Stay alert, stay visible, and stay safe.

Connecting with seniors at the West Richmond Community Centre to discuss personal and home safety. Topics included fraud awareness, personal safety, home security, and recognizing suspicious activity. These conversations help keep our community informed, prepared, and safe.
