CBS, once a leader in investigative journalism, has resorted to publishing misinformation and trying to make Angie Nixon look bad over her answer about Cuba, claiming she declined to say whether it was a dictatorship. Except she DID answer. She said she had spoken with Cubans who described it as a dictatorship, and she believed them. She simply acknowledged she’d never been there herself. And while CBS was busy turning Nixon’s answer about Cuba into a political attack, Florida has a real scandal worth examining. A state grand jury found that $10 million in taxpayer money was diverted through the Hope Florida Foundation and ultimately routed to political committees. The report also criticized Ashley Moody’s role in the arrangement. Funny how the candidate challenging Moody gets the scrutiny, but the $10 MILLION scandal involving the incumbent deserves considerably less attention. CBS had to issue the correction below. My advice to the morons at CBS: maybe try investigating the people actually holding and abusing power instead of putting words in the mouth of the woman challenging them.
