We would like to thank Deana Bohnsack of Victorville for submitting spectacular photos that showcase the county’s natural beauty. ⛰️ The Pacific Crest Trail covers 2,650 miles between Mexico and Canada. Along the way, it passes through California, Oregon and Washington. It takes travelers across the desert, through the glaciated expanses of the Sierra Nevada and into deep forests, leading to spectacular views of volcanic peaks in the Cascade Range. Each year, many hikers and equestrians enjoy the trail in different ways. Some travel for a few miles, while others complete the entire trail in a season. Special thanks to ABC7 for highlighting the county's efforts to reduce housing insecurity, support recovery and provide residents with access to comprehensive care. 🎥 The county hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday to celebrate the expansion of Highland Creek, formerly known as Pacific Village. This transformative project will provide vital housing, treatment and care services for some of the county's most vulnerable residents. Phase II of the expansion includes 58 permanent supportive housing units, 32 recuperative care beds, and a 16-bed facility to provide substance use disorder treatment for adults. 🏘️ #housing #homelessness #communitydevelopment #recovery #supportivehousing
