I’m not going to pile on, but this is just horrible amounts of cope… Oregon state finished 7-6, Stanford finished 3-9. Both embarrassed us at home
In an alternative universe we would’ve patiently kept Helton while LA worked its way through covid. Jackson Dart probably would’ve stayed and won another conference championship and we’d have made our first playoff appearance. We would’ve probably been bounced in the first round and the fan base would be justifiably upset that Helton just can’t win those really big games against the top teams in cfb. Eventually, With the program right on the brink of being a championship contender, we would’ve brought a head coach to replace Helton. It would’ve been someone who has experience taking a close team that extra mile to glory.
We were probably 2 or 3 years too quick with the axe and as a result, we’re close to being right back to needing a Helton like figure to right the ship again. We’ve gone backwards. Can’t believe we signed a 10 year deal. Like anyone out of their depth in a job, it’s Only gonna get worse the longer it goes.
