This fall, @SJHS_Theatre brought Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman’s Stage Door to life at Washington Hall on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Set in a New York City boarding house for aspiring actresses, the play explores the challenges of pursuing one's dreams, the meaning of success, and the distinction between entertainment and art. At its heart, Stage Door is a story of ambition, resilience, and perseverance. Through its colorful characters and their struggles, the play reminds us that loving theatre is easy when the audience applauds, but true dedication is revealed when the work becomes difficult and success is uncertain. With approximately 65 students involved in the cast and crew, this production celebrated not only the performing arts but also the importance of educational theatre in fostering creativity, collaboration, determination, and community. Above all, Stage Door was a celebration of the passion and perseverance of our Saint Joe students, both onstage and behind the scenes. (Thank you to Mrs. Mary K. Kagel for the photos) #WeAreSaintJoe

Today, students in Mr. McCarthy's AP World History: Modern class took a walking field trip to the Notre Dame Administration building to view the Christopher Columbus murals as part of their upcoming AP unit of study. The murals are original paintings from 1884 completed by Italian artist Luigi Gregori. The murals are uncovered for two weeks each semester for students to view for instructional purposes. #WeAreSaintJoe
